The building, wall, and upgrade tiles of both Era I and Era II each have their separate slots. The insert includes trays for storing and organising all of the game components. Each of the types of tile and token have their own slot in the trays giving easy access to all players. As mentioned above, all of the trays can be used during setup and game play. When packing the box first place the main game board on top of the insert trays, taking care to have the wheel face up. Next place the player boards face down on top of the board with the dials arranged around the wheel on the main board as shown. Next place the end pieces from the hunger wall and cathedral next to the player boards, and then the four action boards on top. Lastly add the rule book and reference sheets. Note that the manuscript tiles do not have a tray, they are instead placed in-between the player piece trays resting on a sloped wall of the larger card tray. As these tiles are all placed directly on the board during setup they do not need a dedicated tray during game play. The coin tray works equally well with either the card coins from the game, or the upgraded metal coins. There are two decks for the paladin, townsfolk and outsider cards, including all the Kickstarter promo cards. And a separate tray for vertical storage of all the small cards. There is space for all cards to be sleeved. There are three trays for the meeple tokens, and one large tray for the silver coins and provisions. When clearing the game away and packing the box, first place the start player marker on top of one of the card decks. Then place all the game board goes on top of the trays acting as a lid. On top of these place the rulebook. This fills the box lid squarely to the top and allows for vertical storage. When fully packed the lid will be raised by 2.3 cm, though due to the neutral tone of the box base this does not affect too much the way the box looks on the shelf. The two tuck boxes are supplied in flat-pack form and need some assembly. Firstly open the box and fold back all the crease lines so that the box stands square. You next need to fit the box bottom pieces together. Start with the long rectangular piece, followed by the side flaps, and lastly insert the piece with a tab as shown. We recommend gluing the box bottom tabs together to improve strength as the map tiles are heavy. Once the insert trays are packed into the box you need to place the damage token bag on top of one stack of cards and add the six dashboards on top of the dashboard token trays as shown. Then simply place all the rule books on top of the insert (note that there is room for just one langauge version of the rule books). The insert includes trays for storing and organising all of the game components. There are individual player piece trays for each of the six player colours. The card trays have space for all cards to be sleeved. The small filler tray is placed between the two stacks of track tiles to stop them moving while carrying the game or during vertical storage. There are two trays for storing the focus tokens, allowing one to be placed on either side of the table to give easy access to all players. Each tray holds over 100 tokens. This is not sufficient to hold every single token from all the expansions, however it is more than enough for use in your games. FS-RMGT includes two cardboard tuck boxes for storage of all the map tiles which don't fit in the main game box. These can be stored on your shelf next to the game, and have a print design in keeping with the game box. The two tuck boxes are supplied in flat-pack form and need some assembly. Firstly open the box and fold back all the crease lines so that the box stands square. You next need to fit the box bottom pieces together. Start with the long rectangular piece, followed by the side flaps, and lastly insert the piece with a tab as shown. We recommend gluing the box bottom tabs together to improve strength as the map tiles are heavy. As mentioned above, all of the trays can be used during setup and game play. The game boards, rules and storybook fit in a recess on top of the lower trays. The rulebook goes first, which provides space for the ring binder on the storybook to go next. If you own the Big Box variant of the game, the two sets of trays shown above are simply placed one on top of the other. The trays work equally well with the metal coins and the lenticular monter cards, which can be sleeved. There is also space for the six cards from the lockup pack. You can add the minotaur and frogkin player boards too, but you will have 1-2 mm of lid lift, which is hardly noticable with this kind of box. With the top layer removed you can see the second layer of trays underneath. Each clan has it's own tray for its coloured components. Each player will take a tray with his chosen colour of clan pieces at the start of the game. The goods tokens each have separate slots to give easy access during the game.There is one long tray for the export contracts. There are two trays for the coins, a tray for the clan tiles, and a tray for the port bonus tiles, scoring tiles, and other game pieces. The coin trays work equally well with either the card coins from the base game or the alternative metal coins. As mentioned above many of the trays can be used during the game to organise the components and make access by all players easy. The game boards need to be placed in the box in the following sequence. First go the player boards in a recess on the right hand side of the insert. Then go the rules, followed by the market and export boards. The map boards and MacDonald tile go last, with the player aids and score sheet next to them. this fills the box to the top, and with the lid closed flush the box can be stored vertically. The insert design also works with the original edition of the game, where the player boards are narrower being only 10 cm wide. When used with this edition the long export contract tray is assembled differently and is placed the other way round in the box as shown below. This leaves a narrower recess for the smaller player boards. The two alternative methods of assembling the export contract tray can be seen here. Each resource and tile type has it's own dedicated slot, and the trays are designed to be placed on top of the board during game play. All card trays have space for sleeved cards. The insert includes one large tray which has no base and is designed to remain in the game box. This stores the large cards, event & garland award tiles, the die, and has a large open slot for the signs & 3D wonders standees. The coin trays work equally with either the cardboard coin tokens or the metal coins. all the trays can be used during the game to organise the components and make access by all players easy. The insert trays completely fill the main game box, meaning that the boards and rule books need to be placed in the Bellfaire® expansion box. Place the main game board in the box first, together with the overlays as shown. Then place the six player boards, followed by the mountain board. Next place the river board and scorepad. Lastly place the Ever Tree and rule books on top. This will fill the box, as the insert trays fully fill the main game box, meaning both can be stored vertically. If you own the wooden Ever Tree, you will find this is slightly thicker than the cardboard one. In this case it is better to use the larger Pearlbrook® or Spirecrest® box to store the boards and rule books. This product consists of a flat-pack of 6 Evacore sheets.
