Preferring a sunny location and well-drained soil, they're drought tolerant and very easy to look after, even growing reasonably quickly.Although the branches of this Cupressus semperviren grow vertically without training, it will benefit from regular clipping, in the same way as most other conifers do. The more it is clipped, the tighter and denser it will become. This also reduces the risk of any branches falling out of shape, especially under a winter flurry of snow.
