Finerfilters Booster Pump Upgrade Kit

Finerfilters Booster Pump Upgrade Kit

Finerfilters Booster Pump Upgrade Kit NOTE: This is an upgrade kit to be paired with one of our booster pumps. Pump NOT included. Contains: Bypass assembly Pressure gauge High pressure switch DMFit strainer Electrical connections NOTE: The pressure switch will only work with units that use a float valve or water stored in a pressurised container. If you don't have either of these - the system will still work. However, you will still have to turn the pump off manually. The booster pump upgrade kit by Finerfilters allows you to be able to adjust the output pressure of the pump, by hand. The pump as the standard doesn’t have an adjustment option. The high-pressure switch allows the pump to switch itself off once the storage tank is full. Without the high-pressure switch, the booster pump would need to be turned off manually. The strainer is a small fitting that will sit just before the inlet to the pump to protect it from any suspended particles from mains water. A pressure gauge is also included to monitor output pressure or auto shut-off pressure. For aquarium systems, the pump would only switch itself off if you have a float valve or are storing the RO water in a pressurised container. The high-pressure switch sits in line on the tubing to your tank and senses a build-up of pressure once the tank is full. The switch, which is married up to the pump via electrical connectors, switches off the pump once the pressure reaches over a certain point (pre-set at 40 PSI, but is adjustable if you would like to fine-tune this). The bypass assembly allows you to change the output pressure on your booster pump by hand. Some pumps come with adjustable allen screws that can reduce the pressure output of the pump if required. However, this method of adjusting the pressure can sometimes be a pain, as you must awkwardly fine tune the tiny allen screw in the booster pump head with an allen key. With the bypass assembly, a 1/4" shut off valve is used to allow some of the water to skip the booster pump which will reduce the pressure output if it is too high. The kit comes with all necessary fittings and installation instructions.

5 Stage Reverse Osmosis 400GPD System ¦ Fishkeeping, Window Cleaning, High Flow RO System by Finerfilters Reverse Osmosis is a technology used to remove the large majority (98%+) of contaminants from water. The Reverse Osmosis system works by pushing the water under pressure through a number of increasingly smaller filters and finally through a semipermeable membrane, essentially trapping all contaminants. Finerfilters are here to support you before and long after you buy. We provide help through manuals, easy-install guides, diagrams, and phone & email support. This system produces up to 1514 litres per day of purified water and comes complete with the following: Installation Manual. Chrome Faucet Tap. All pipes, pre-filters, post-filters, and fittings are required for easy installation. The membrane can last between 1 and 2 years dependent on water hardness. Filters are to be replaced every six months. Please note:  This system requires a minimum of 29PSI (2 BAR) to work. This is for the booster pump to operate. Operating the system at a lower pressure than the minimum can cause damage to the pump itself. Ideal pressure depends upon incoming water temperature but around 60 PSI (4 BAR) is acceptable. Reverse Osmosis Systems waste water to make water, and this should be done at high pressure as the water is being forced through microscopic holes which catch contaminants. This is normal and the same with all RO systems as this is the way the membrane rejects the impure water, which goes to the drain, to produce pure water. The system works optimally at 80-90 PSI (5.5 - 6 bar), and to get to the quoted output, we'd recommend running the system on or around this pressure. This allows the system to reduce the waste water to pure water ratio and work quicker at producing pure water.
