Large Diffused Light Source
This style of umbrella is designed to be used to that the umbrella is pointing towards your subject. The light then passes through the translucent-white nylon material, producing a broad, soft light source, with a diffused quality. It can also be used to light your subject indirectly, where the light is pointed away from your subject, then is reflected towards your subject, via the interior surface of the umbrella towards your subject, for a subtle diffused quality of light. Removable Backing

The backing material features one black side and one silver side. The black side is designed to absorb any stray light, and the sliver-sided will reflect any light trying to escape out of the back of the modifier forwards, maximising light efficiency. It will also add a little contrast and specularity to your lighting, perfect fashion images.
