The Beauty dish creates a unique lighting pattern on the subject offering a round catch light in the eye of the subject, often used in fashion and the beauty industries to create excellent skin tones which are soft and uniform.
It is a device used to create soft light – it works by using a parabolic reflector to distribute light towards a focal point. The light created is between that of a direct flash and a softbox, hence giving the image of a wrapped, contrasted look, which adds a very dramatic effect.
The PIXAPRO beauty dish has a white interior, which provides a warmer, softer, less contrasty look, compared to that of a silver beauty dish. Also light fall of is less dramatic with a white beauty dish, so specular highlights are reduced.
The Essential Flashgun(Speed-lite) Bracket has hot shoe mount for your flashgun and can be used with almost any Bowens S type fitting accessories. This bracket allows you to use your flash with any Bowen fitting softbox, beauty dish, snoot and reflectors. It also can attached with your umbrella.
This flashgun bracket is an all metal construction with individual adjustments for the flash shoe, angle of tilt flash positioning and light stand attachment.
