Ziton ACA-CT-025 Alarmline T Clip - Pack of 25The ACA-CT T clip is designed to secure LHD linear heat detection sensor cable. It may be used as a ceiling or wall mount clip.The clip consists of a low-density polyethylene resin moulding with a slot into which the heat sensing cable is located combined with a 25 mm standoff. In ceiling applications the 25 mm standoff exposes the cable faster to any rise in temperature as it lifts the cable out of the layer of colder air that is often trapped against the ceiling.InstallationThe clip is secured with a screw and wall plug using an M8 pan head screw self-tapping screw. For extra security a tie wrap may be used to prevent the cable from being pulled from the clip. A figure-8 configuration on the tie wrap is ideal for this.Spacing for clips is recommended every meter along the length of the cable. Two clips in close proximity are used at 90 degrees bends or where the cable route changes direction.For space protection applications the ideal location for the heat sensing cable is on the ceiling or the top of the sidewall. Kidde Airsense 25-32mm Intumescent Fire Collar 9-10975The pipe collar is manufactured from a high-performance material bonded to the inside of a steel sleeve which on exposure to heat from a fire will rapidly expand inwards to squeeze the collapsing plastic pipe until the aperture is completely sealed. This creates compartmentalization which prevents the fire spreading from one fire compartment to the next. Pipe collars are tested in accordance with the performance requirements of BS476 Part 20 1987.Intumescent fire collars are designed to maintain the fire resistance of compartment walls and floors where they are penetrated by ABS sampling pipes. They consist of a powder coated split hinged cylindrical steel which can be opened and fitted around the pipe. The steel shell contains a heat reactive graphite based intumescent material. Each collar is fastened by means of a toggle clasp and has integral lugs at one end for ease of installation.
