Hochiki Marine Dual Sounder Controller with SCI CHQ-DSC2MSCI Hochiki CHQ-DSC2MSCI Marine Dual Sounder Controller with SCIThe CHQ-DSC2MSCI is a Marine Approved Dual Sounder Controller which has been designed to provide two sounder outputs that can be driven separately with full fault monitoring. The monitored input can be used for local power supply fault monitoring or as a general-purpose input. The unit utilises simple DIL switches for reliable addressing. A back box is also available CHQ-BACKBOX which when used in conjunction with the CHQ-DSC2MSCI increases the IP rating to IP65.Key FeaturesSingle loop addressEach alarm circuit fused at 1 ampTwo independent sounder circuits each fully monitored for open and short circuit faultsAuxiliary monitored inputOutputs can be driven continuously or synchronised pulsed sounder driveSmart-Fix housing system for flexibilityFeatures an integral SCIApproved to MED by GLGL Type approvalApproved by LPCB GBP 111.84 1
Hochiki HCP-WMSCI Addressable Marine Weatherproof Call Point with SCI Hochiki HCP-WMSCI Addressable Marine Weatherproof Call Point with SCIThe HCP-WMSCI is a weatherproof Manual Call Point with integral short-circuit isolator which is fully compatible with Hochikis ESP analogue addressable protocol. The unit incorporates a bi-coloured LED which can be selected as pulsingnon-pulsing 1 for communications polling and is continuously lit when the HCP-WMSCI is operated in these two states the LED will show red. The LED will show amber when a short-circuit is present but will switch to red if the unit is activated. The unit operates by pressing the EN54 compliant non-frangible plastic element and produces a high level ESP interrupt. A built in test function initiated by the control panel ensures the integrity of the device at all times and the device can be tested by insertion of a test key in the underside of the unit. Two terminal blocks are provided for easy connection to the loop wiring. The unit is addressed using the TCH-B200 Hand Held Programmer for quick and reliable addressing. An optional glass element is also available.Key FeaturesFast responseIntegral short-circuit isolatorBi-coloured status LEDNon-frangible element fitted as standard conforms to EN54Addressed with TCH-B200 Hand Held ProgrammerSurface mountedIP67 ratedLPCB approved to EN54GL and MED Type approval GBP 162.67 1
C-Tec BF562-1 Switch Mode 24v 1.5A EN54-4 Boxed Metal PSU C-Tec BF562-1 Switch Mode 24v 1.5A EN54-4 Boxed Metal PSUThe BF562-1 is certified to EN54-4A2 by the LPCB and VdS AFNOR pending. It comes with a plastic cover on PSU PCB which guards against touching live parts. Includes a single-pole voltfree changeover relay that switches for any fault condition.Key FeaturesMultiple indicators - supply present general fault fault type aux. equipment faultTwo selectable battery charge currentsBattery fault impedance limits can be optimised to suit load current helps extend battery lifeMains fail simulation modeImproved on-board temperature sensor with optional remote sensorElectronic functions comply with EN50131-6 grades 1-4 for security applicationsBF562-1E caged BF562-1C PCB-only versions availableTYPICAL USESIdeal for poweringbeam detectors auto-dial communicators aspirating smoke detectors auto-open vent systems auxiliary sounder systems or any other device performing a mandatory function of a fire alarm system.PSU CUSTOMISATIONThe BF562-1can be customised to suit your exact requirements using a BF423 configurator PC. Configurable parameters include float voltage temperature compensation battery charge rate mA battery impedance and configurableInputOutput settings. It is important to note changing the PSUs parameters in this way isoutside the scope of EN54-4 and any changes mustbe tested by the responsible person for correctoperation.PSU STATUS LEDlocated on the PSU PCB1 flash Mains Failure.2 flashes Battery Voltage Low.3 flashes Battery Voltage Critical.4 flashes Charger Failure.5 flashes Charger OK Battery is either actively charging or in float charge.6 flashes No Batteries Fitted indicating DIP Switch 4 position.7 flashes Battery Resistance Fault Level set by DIP Switch 2 position.8flashes Output Over Voltage.BATTERY FAULT MONITORINGThe BF562-1 complies with EN54-4A2 and therefore must monitor battery resistance. The fault threshold is directly related to the ability of the battery to deliver the rated current to the load. For example batteries stored uncharged for long periods during shipment andor distribution degrade leading to increased internal resistance. If a degraded battery is fitted a fault will be shown by the PSU as mandated by EN54-4A2.DATA PORTData on the BF562-1s status can be extracted from the PSUsbi-directional data port. Firesystems that require such monitoring are typically connected to 12V security STUs. Unfortunately PSUs used to power these STUs normally only offer 12 hours standby are notconnected to a dedicated mains supply and do not include the features demanded by EN54-4 such as battery impedance monitoring temperature compensated charging CPR compliance etc. TheBF560-12 solves these problems by allowing the use of 12V STUs with a cost-effective EN54-4 compliant PSU thereby facilitating compliance with BS5839-1 or European equivalents. Tofurther assist this application an optional STU mounting plate is available for inside the BF560-12 order code BF360SP.PSU STATUS LEDlocated on the PSU PCB1 flash Mains Failure.2 flashes Battery Voltage Low.3 flashes Battery Voltage Critical.4 flashes Charger Failure.5 flashes Charger OK Battery is either actively charging or in float charge.6 flashes No Batteries Fitted indicating DIP Switch 4 position.7 flashes Battery Resistance Fault Level set by DIP Switch 2 position.8flashes Output Over Voltage.BATTERY FAULT MONITORINGThe BF560-12 complies with EN54-4A2 and therefore must monitor battery resistance.
