Overlock thread red 5000m

Premium quality overlock thread in 100 % polyester, suitable for use with all overlockers. Overlock thread is slightly finer than regular sewing thread. An overlocker works differently than a sewing machine. Overlocked seams are stretchier. While an overlocker sews with one or two needles and two loopers, a sewing machine sews with an upper thread and a lower thread that lock together between the fabric layers. In overlock stitching, two threads wrap around the edge of the fabric. Essentially, overlock stitching creates a seam and binds edges at the same time. Due to the special overlocker technique and threading, overlock thread is available on 5000 m cones. Our overlock thread is OEKO-TEX 100 certified.

Who doesn't cheer up with lovely little polka dots?     Perhaps the dots are perfect because you've already sewn with a dotted fabric. But you can also use the bias tape for some extra details in your design – maybe the edge of the dress or the pockets on the shorts need some cheerful dots?     The bias tape is 18 mm wide, made from 100% cotton, and comes in a pack of 5 metres.     Use bias tape for…   Sew bias tape on blankets and bath towels. Use it on dresses, shirts, and blouses – and for baby clothes and bodysuits. Let the bias tape serve as fine details and beautiful finishes on edges and cutouts.     Worth knowing about bias tape  Bias tape has the (almost) magical ability to adapt to many fabrics. It is – as the name suggests – cut on the bias and thus naturally follows your curves, necklines, corners, and edges. It provides a beautiful finish.     How to sew on bias tape  Bias tape is for sewing onto curves, corners, and straight stretches. When you sew the bias tape onto your project, sew with straight stitches at approximately 2.5 cm stitch length. As you sew, do not pull or stretch it. Let it align naturally along the edge to achieve a neat finish.     TIP  When you start sewing your bias tape, fold about 2 cm inwards, so it's double-layered. When you finish, tuck the other end's fold over your initial folded start. The same principle applies when you extend a bias tape.  

Wool red heavy

Brushed, soft and comfortableWool is a firm and warm material that is ideal for jackets, coats and ponchos. In other words, the kind of outerwear you wear for everyday life and parties, and not so much for those days when you're building caves in the garden.  This wool has a brushed surface, making it extra soft and pleasant to the touch. At the same time, it's compactly woven and strong, so you get a fabric that works well for all kinds of coats and jackets for young and old alike. Use it for classic coats with a collar and pretty buttons or for a more personalized version with a zipper, oversized collar or fewer details - it's entirely up to you.Wool in interior designWe know that the next one is a bit impractical because the wool is not washable. But it's just so soft that we have to say that it's also great for a wool blanket on the sofa. For example, with a nice coarse stitching all the way around - warm, cosy and perfect for cool summer evenings outside and sofa evenings inside.  Practical InformationThis fabric is made up of 80% wool and 20% polyamide. It is 145 cm wide and you can choose the number of meters you need for your project. The wool is not washable, but can be dry cleaned.Remember to use the right needles - we recommend using universal needles when sewing with this wool, and you may want to go up in stitch length for a more finished look. 

Dale Garn, silk mohair wool yarn "Kidsilk Erle", red (9082)

Kidsilk Erle is a luxury brushed mohair yarn, which produces beautifully airy and soft garments. Use this yarn either on its own or combined with other yarn qualities. Held single or double, to give a patterned effect together with a spun wool yarn or with alpaca. Remember that the given knitting tension is only a guide and you can work Kidsilk Erle with smaller or larger needles depending on the results you want.

Sewing thread cotton red 1000m

This is durable, soft and 100 % natural, high-quality thread made of Egyptian cotton, which you can use for hand-sewn and machine-sewn projects. The thread is mercerised – i.e. it has been pre-treated to strengthen the fibres. Mercerised thread is softer and glossier. For great results, use it in all your projects. The mercerisation process ensures that cotton thread shrinks less and therefore keeps its shape better.  Our cotton thread is OEKO-TEX 100 certified. 

Polar fleece red

The loveliest projects in fleeceFind your favourite colour and start creating your new project! Polar fleece is light, soft and stretchy - a great material that also insulates. That means it's perfect for lining a jacket or a nice, fluffy vest, for example. This is how easy it is to make a fleece blanketChoose the colour and cut the blanket to the exact size you want and voila: you have a new fleece blanket. It doesn't get any easier than this. And yes - it's good enough - you don't need to sew the edges; the material won't run. If you want to give your rug a nice finish with a sewn edge, we recommend using jersey needles, which are specially developed for qualities like this. They penetrate the fabric easily without leaving holes. Or how about making a reversible blanket or vest with two different colours of fleece - double up on warmth, softness and use. Fleece dries quickly, is robust and durable and therefore very easy to bring along, for example as extra blankets in the caravan. Practical information about polar fleeceThe fabric is 145 cm wide and you buy it by the metre, so you get the length you need. It's easy to throw in the washing machine at 40° max and is quick-drying, but can also be tumble-dried at a low temperature if you need it faster. Be aware that it shrinks about 3% in the wash, so it's a good idea to wash the fabric before starting your project. Please remember to use jersey needles (item no. 46799 or 46028) when sewing in fleece. What is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®?OEKO-TEX® is the world-leading label for textiles tested for harmful substances.Once the fabric has achieved a STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification, it is your guarantee it has been tested and approved not to contain any harmful chemicals.

WOOLLY is precisely that: A soft and durable woolly yarn made of 100% fine alpaca wool. It is a fantastic yarn for use in hats, scarves and clothes for adults and children alike. Alpaca live primarily at heights where the temperature fluctuates widely – for this reason, alpaca wool has high insulation capacity. Another great advantage of alpaca wool is that, unlike sheep’s wool, it does not contain lanolin. WOOLLY is therefore a delightful alternative if you suffer from wool allergy. It’s woollylicious!

Patch for repair nylon 10x20cm red

Prolong the useful lifetime of your clothes with a self-adhesive nylon patchHave you torn a hole in a jacket or other item of clothing? Then this self-adhesive nylon patch is the easy way to give your clothes a new lease of life.Repair holes and tears in outerwear, etc.This patch is made of 100% nylon. It measures 10 x 20 cm. It has a self-adhesive backing and is good for repairing holes or tears. Use it, for example, to repair rainwear, a jacket, trousers, ski suit, snowsuit and other waterproof clothing – and in places you find it difficult to get to sew. How do I attach the nylon patch?Make sure that the damaged fabric is clean, dry and smooth.Instructions:Trim the nylon patch to the desired size. We recommend that you cut the patch several centimetres larger than the hole. Don’t forget to round the corners.Remove the protective foil and press the patch firmly in place.Cover the patch with a cloth and press with an iron for about 10 seconds at the lowest temperature setting (on the right and wrong side). Pressing the patch fixes the adhesive so the patch better can withstand washing.NB: If the fabric is not suitable for ironing, use a hair dryer to heat the patch and fix the adhesive.
