Dale Garn, 100% extra fine merino wool yarn, "Soft Merino", red (3021)

Dale Garn, 100% extra fine merino wool yarn, "Soft Merino", red (3021)

100% extra-fine merino wool with maximum elasticitySoft Merino is spun from 100% extra-fine, natural merino wool. The yarn is not super-waxed, which preserves the original properties of the wool. This means maximum elasticity and good warmth and insulation, even when the garment is damp and wet. This gives you a unique merino yarn without any plastic coating, which protects you and the environment. Perfect for delicate knitsSoft Merino is a particularly lovely yarn for all finer knitting projects, as it has a fine texture - and is really soft. You can use this yarn for virtually all types of knitting projects and techniques; from classic patterned knitting and textured patterns to cables and lace, as well as crochet.Create the softest children's clothesDue to the yarn's particularly fine wool fibres, which give it a unique softness, we recommend it especially for baby and children's clothing - but it is also very suitable for knitting projects for adults.Tip: You can knit with Soft Merino and Little Lark using the same Dale patterns. Good to know about Soft MerinoSoft Merino can be felted, but remember that bleached white yarn cannot be felted (natural white is not bleached). The gauge indicated on the band is only a guide. Always remember to follow the gauge indicated in the pattern.Soft Merino is RWS certified. This guarantees that the wool comes from farms that ensure both sustainable land management and animal welfare, where mulesing is strictly prohibited. The RWS label thus ensures sustainable production from farm to finished yarn.

Bias tape cotton 18mm red dot 5m

Polka dots bring smiles  Bias tape is brilliant for adding fine details and a polished finish to your sewing project. You can choose from many different colours, but polka dots – they're always a hit! Who doesn't cheer up with lovely little polka dots?     Perhaps the dots are perfect because you've already sewn with a dotted fabric. But you can also use the bias tape for some extra details in your design – maybe the edge of the dress or the pockets on the shorts need some cheerful dots?     The bias tape is 18 mm wide, made from 100% cotton, and comes in a pack of 5 metres.     Use bias tape for…   Sew bias tape on blankets and bath towels. Use it on dresses, shirts, and blouses – and for baby clothes and bodysuits. Let the bias tape serve as fine details and beautiful finishes on edges and cutouts.     Worth knowing about bias tape  Bias tape has the (almost) magical ability to adapt to many fabrics. It is – as the name suggests – cut on the bias and thus naturally follows your curves, necklines, corners, and edges. It provides a beautiful finish.     How to sew on bias tape  Bias tape is for sewing onto curves, corners, and straight stretches. When you sew the bias tape onto your project, sew with straight stitches at approximately 2.5 cm stitch length. As you sew, do not pull or stretch it. Let it align naturally along the edge to achieve a neat finish.     TIP  When you start sewing your bias tape, fold about 2 cm inwards, so it's double-layered. When you finish, tuck the other end's fold over your initial folded start. The same principle applies when you extend a bias tape.

Polar fleece red

Polar fleece red

The loveliest projects in fleeceFind your favourite colour and start creating your new project! Polar fleece is light, soft and stretchy - a great material that also insulates. That means it's perfect for lining a jacket or a nice, fluffy vest, for example. This is how easy it is to make a fleece blanketChoose the colour and cut the blanket to the exact size you want and voila: you have a new fleece blanket. It doesn't get any easier than this. And yes - it's good enough - you don't need to sew the edges; the material won't run. If you want to give your rug a nice finish with a sewn edge, we recommend using jersey needles, which are specially developed for qualities like this. They penetrate the fabric easily without leaving holes. Or how about making a reversible blanket or vest with two different colours of fleece - double up on warmth, softness and use. Fleece dries quickly, is robust and durable and therefore very easy to bring along, for example as extra blankets in the caravan. Practical information about polar fleeceThe fabric is 145 cm wide and you buy it by the metre, so you get the length you need. It's easy to throw in the washing machine at 40° max and is quick-drying, but can also be tumble-dried at a low temperature if you need it faster. Be aware that it shrinks about 3% in the wash, so it's a good idea to wash the fabric before starting your project. Please remember to use jersey needles (item no. 46799 or 46028) when sewing in fleece. What is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®?OEKO-TEX® is the world-leading label for textiles tested for harmful substances.Once the fabric has achieved a STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification, it is your guarantee it has been tested and approved not to contain any harmful chemicals.
