Tales of the Neon See is an adventure game type point-and-click adventure developed by independent Chinese studios Palm Pioneer. The production was created, among others, thanks to the successful fundraising on the Kickstarter website.
Story
Tales of the Neon Sea takes players to a cyberpunk metropolis illuminated by colorful neon lights. People and robots controlled by Artificial Intelligence exist side by side in the city, without trusting each other. The main character of the game is Mr. Mist - former detective trying to make ends meet by carrying out various assignments. When the person who has the key to unraveling the mystery of a mysterious murderer who managed to escape the justice system years ago, disappears without a trace, the protagonist undertakes to find her. In the course of the investigation, Mr. Mist discovers numerous secrets of the city and also somehow settles accounts with his own past.
Gameplay
In Tales of the Neon Sea, the action is shown from the side. Traveling through atmospheric locations with city streets, bars, apartments or gloomy sewers on the list, we talk to neutral characters , trying to get useful information from them, and solve puzzles that push the action forward. The puzzles involve both searching for specific items and manipulating objects found in the game world. Interestingly, the hero is not alone, as he is accompanied by his assistant - a cat named William. The animal can get to places inaccessible to Mr. Mista, and at selected times the player can take control of it.
