Stasis is an isometric adventure game in dark science fiction. The production was prepared by a small team from South Africa.
In Stasis, we play the role of John Maracheck, who wakes up in his room in a research facility. The problem is that his family has disappeared and there is no living soul in the area. The only manifestations of "life" turn out to be flickering monitors and working computers. The protagonist must find out what happened in this place and find his loved ones. It will not be easy, because the laboratory hides many secrets and dangers.
At first glance, Stasis is a typical adventure game: the player travels through locations, looks for items and solves puzzles. The creators of the game, however, introduced a few interesting facts. First of all, the events are shown in an isometric projection that is not used very often in the genre. Secondly, the hero may die as a result of the player's actions.
Stasis boasts a really nice visual setting and an interesting level design. The whole thing is kept in extremely cool tones to reflect the feeling of loneliness of the main character. During the game, we also play specific, subdued music, which also builds an atmosphere of isolation and emptiness.
