Leister UNIDRIVE 500 120v Semi-automatic Roofing Heat Gun Welder 163.148 The new UNIDRIVE 500 is a semi-automatic advanced Leister heat gun roof welding machine for single ply (TPO, EPDM, PVC etc) roofing jobs. It has been designed in collaboration with industry practitioners and tradespeople like you to provide a solution for faster job completion but with better quality and more consistent results. The result was a single ply membrane roofing tool that bridges the gap between Leister heat guns like the TRIAC and fully automatic machines, designed for large scale commercial roofing jobs, such as the VARIMAT V2 and UNIROOF. The UNIDRIVE 500 provides a balanced application of pressure, through its dual hand/single hand grip design. This makes it very suitable for accurate seam welds around parapets, circle welding and close to the edge welding runs. In addition it has a reversible drive, with the nozzles able to weld in both directions, making this tool superb at detail welding, sky lights, small roof and sloping roof projects. Three nozzles sizes are available: 15mm, 30mm and the supplied 40mm. The nozzles can be rotated 180, which in combination with the reversible drive, means the UNIDRIVE 500 can be adapted to various challenging situations. The UNIDRIVE 500 is a fully digital heat welding tool with full closed loop on temperature, welding speed and blower speed, all managed via the digital display. The brushless motors on the drive and blower mean less maintenance costs and potential downtime. Not only is the UNIDRIVE 500 capable of welding at speeds of up to 4.5 metres per minute but it does so while producing consistent seams that are significantly stronger than those from Leister heat gun hand tools. With a precise temperature control up to 580C, even PVC membrane welding is a breeze. The image below shows the difference in seam quality and consistency between using a traditional hand tool like the TRIAC (hand welding) and the new UNIDRIVE 500. A major contributing factor is the creation of an air dam during the welding process (much like the bigger industrial machines) which produces a wider, more uniform and consistent welding heat area that bonds a larger width of material. The UNIDRIVE 500 is between 3x and 5x faster at welding roof membrane than traditional hot air hand tools and as such is estimated to pay for itself in around 1500m of welded seams or roughly 7 small roofing jobs. Its low service costs and maintenance free motors (blower and drive motors) means it's economical too. The New UNIPLAN 500 Industrial Fabric Welder from Leister Welds Tarpaulins, Banners, Tents and PVC Coated Materials Available in 230V or 120V, the all new UNIPLAN 500 industrial fabric welder from Leister has been radically redesigned to make it faster (up to 16m/min) , easier and more intuitive to use when welding industrial PVC fabric. Now also comes with the ability to weld up to 40mm seams. Leister's reputation for designing industrial quality machines is second to none when it comes to welding PVC coated or reinforced materials such as those used in making PVC banners, lorry tarpaulins, manufacturing marquees or inflatable structures such as tennis domes or sports hall coverings. The machine is suitable for floor or bench top operation when welding technical textiles and industrial fabrics . The new UNIPLAN 500 now comes with an integrated material lifter and an automatic swivel-in control for the nozzle (controlled at the rear of the machine) to make it safer, easier and more reliable for the user. In addition the introduction of a cleverly designed sliding swivel caster, that can be moved out of the way of obstacles like grommets, hooks or other accessories, makes it easier to avoid potential issues with the welding process. Faster production processes are now achievable as the UNIPLAN 500 can quickly be changed from overlap welding to pipe or hem welding in one easy step. Another clever innovation is the introduction of an adjustable starting delay/preheat which means the welding process can be accurately adapted for light or heavy materials. A new integrated weight section directly over the pressure wheel comes as standard on the UNIPLAN 500, as does the inclusion of 2 x 1.25kg. Also standard is a rotatable large handle for ease of lifting and guiding. A longer handle is available as an optional extra. As with all the latest Leister automatic welding machines the UNIPLAN 500 is a digitally controlled machine with the latest E-Drive control interface with easy to configure digital settings and controls for drive speed and temperature. All control settings are closed loop for accurate welding. The LEISTER WELDPLAST S1 120v digital extruder is one of the most versatile plastic welding extruders on the market. It's compact, at only 435mm long, and weighs only 4.7kg - the lightest digital extruder in Leister's stable, and only beaten by the Fusion 1 - Leister's lightest extruder but this is not as feature rich nor as versatile as the WELDPLAST S1. The 120V version is ideally suited for site work. The WELDPLAST S1 can weld the largest range of material in the entire Leister extruder range: - HD-PE, LD-PE, PP, PVC-U, PVC-C, PVDF, ECTFE and PA and has integrated welding profiles built in for HD-PE, PP, PVC-U, PVC-C and PVDF plus 10 free profile storage spaces for specific custom settings.
