Aritech ATS1210E 8 Zone Expander With Output Connector In Small Plastic HousingThe ATS1210E and ATS1211E expander offers 8 standard inputs and 8 Open Collector OC outputs. The expanders allow to increase the inputs and outputs of an Advisor Advanced control panel or CDC4 series doorlift controller. The ATS1210E is provided in a small plastic enclosure ATS1644 and the ATS1211E in a small metal enclosure ATS1643.Expanders are used to expand the number of alarm inputs in an Advisor Advanced system. Expanders allow inputs and outputsrelays to be connected at a location remote from an Advisor Advanced panel. Expanders communicate via poll reply messages. Detectors door contacts and other detection devices are connected to expanders that report any change of state to the control panel for processing. Available expanders include support for conventional devices wireless devices as well as intelligent addressable devices. A special expander is available providing expansion of four to eight intelligent doors or lifts.The system databus is used to connect expanders as well as keypads and readers RASs to the Advisor Advanced control panel. Remote devices can be up to 1.5 km from a control panels when using the preferred wiring and cable types. Keypads readers and expanders have to be connected via a 2 pair twisted and shielded data cable to the system databus connection to achieve this. WCAT52 is recommended. Daisy chain is the preferred wiring method. The shield of the data cable should be connected to earth at the control panel and should be left disconnected at any other end.Expanders provide information from remote locations to Advisor Advanced control panels in structured records. Data collected ranges from a wired input state to wireless or addressable device dates to a door state.Bus devices communicate with the control panel. If a failure in communication occurs the expander remembers the last alarm in a system preventing loss of an alarm due to a short interruption in data communication.Up to 15 or 30 expanders can be connected to an Advisor Advanced depending on the variant.

It is used to provide audible and visual warning of a fire alarm in an enclosed area. The DB992IVAS may be used either with a detector fitted or with a cap for operation as a stand-alone alarm device.Tone and Volume SelectionThe DB992IVAS offers a choice of 15 evacuation and 15 alert tones. Two tones may be selected during installation one for evacuation and one for alert. Volume levels may be selected during commissioning to one of 7 pre-set levels with output ranging from 60 dBA to 90 dBA. The low volume range is useful in areas such as hospitals where the alert is initially intended to warn staff only.During commissioning the sounder volume can be adjusted on location without disassembly or removal. With the CIE in setup mode the commissioning engineer is able to adjust the volume using a magnetic wand.
