Gotcha Racing 2nd is a continuation of the racing game that hit the Nintendo 3DS in 2015. The production described here appeared on the PC, PS4 and Switch platforms, and the authors of the original, i.e. Arc System Works studio, are responsible for its development.
In Gotcha Racing 2nd we observe the action from a top-down perspective. During the game, we sit behind the wheel of a car and race on several routes varied in terms of appearance and complexity. Races are the pillar of the game, in which our primary goal is to cross the finish line in the first position. Success does not only ensure that you know each track exactly - the desired victory can also be won by eliminating or slowing down opponents using various power-ups, and by fighting in a more powerful vehicle.
In return for successive victories, we get money that we can spend on the purchase of special capsules covering more powerful machines or over seven hundred parts for the already owned four wheels. The list of the latter includes engine components as well as tires, brakes or even spoilers; they affect, among other things, the maneuverability, grip, acceleration and top speed of cars. All this is complemented by the ability to merge individual elements together, which enhances the effects of their operation.
Released on the PC, PS4 and Switch platform, Gotcha Racing 2nd offers a wide variety of game modes. Loners can try their hand at Grand Prix or polish their skills in time trials; the multiplayer variant allows you to challenge up to three players with whom you can race or fight for victory in the arena, where our task is to push all opponents beyond its scope.
