Lacuna - A Sci-Fi Noir Adventure is a 2D science fiction adventure game with noir style. This is another independent production released by Assemble Entertainment, and the German studio DigiTales Interactive is responsible for its creation.
As the title suggests, Lacuna - A Sci-Fi Noir Adventure takes us into the distant future, to a huge metropolis where there is a high-profile murder. The case is being investigated by Neil Conrad, an agent of the CDI organization. What he does not realize is that this investigation will turn both his life and the entire solar system upside down
The debut title of DigiTales studio draws inspiration from classic point-and-click adventure games, but introduces many changes compared to typical representatives of the Lacuna genre - A Sci-Fi Noir Adventure gives up inventory management, fanciful puzzles, repetitive dialogues and "point and click" mechanics on control of 2D platformers and action games as well as conversations and puzzles closely related to the game's plot. The authors also place great emphasis on the choice of the hero. While playing, Neil Conrad has to make difficult decisions all the time, for example, choosing between the raison d'être and the safety of his loved ones. Each action has consequences that ultimately lead to one of the many endings.
