Batman: Arkham Knight is the fourth installment in the series of action games about the Dark Knight. After weaker reviews of the third part, Batman: Arkham Origins, the publisher decided to re-entrust the work to Rocksteady studio, responsible for the success of the first two games of the series: Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009) and Batman: Arkham City (2011).  Like Hitchcock, Batman: Arkham Knight begins with an earthquake. Scarecrow, Batman's old enemy, has planted toxic bombs in Gotham City out of fear. Batman's most dangerous enemies took advantage of the confusion caused by the evacuation of the city's inhabitants. They dominated the abandoned Gotham City, pushed the police with Commissioner Gordon on the defensive, and united to finally defeat Batman. Among these villains were, among others Penguin, Harvey "Two-Face" Dent and Harley Quinn. In addition to the known antagonists, there is one more - the title Knight of Arkham, Batman's new opponent.  In terms of gameplay, Batman: Arkham Knight is an action game with a third person perspective (TPP), and the mechanics are similar to what was presented in the previous versions. However, a lot of minor changes have been introduced - for example, you can knock out several enemies at once or deal blows to lying opponents. The modified counter system has also returned. This time, the Dark Knight must be more careful when fighting, because not only stronger opponents can catch him, but also less significant "hurdles". A novelty in the series is also the introduction of the Bat-Man, well-known from comic books and movies. Using the Batmobile, the Dark Knight can quickly move from place to place, launch rockets, stun enemies, and catapult to immediately switch to gliding in the air, well-known from previous games. It is worth noting that in Arkham Knight the gameplay moves to the central zone of Gotham City, which has been divided into three separate areas. The entire map is also five times larger than the one presented in Arkham City.  The fourth installment of Batman's adventures is based on the Unreal Engine technology. However, the graphic design has been improved compared to the previous editions. Among others, the character models, and Batman's cape has been given new, advanced physics. The pre-rendered cutscenes, which are presented directly on the game engine, have also been abandoned.  Reception Arkham Knight game received positive critical reception, as well as high acclaim among the fans of the Dark Knight. The critics were full of praise for the story of the game, based around the character created by longtime Batman writer, Geoff Johns. The gameplay was also met with positive opinions, especially the Batmobile segments, which added a lot of variety to the gameplay experience. Arkham Knight received several accolades, including the 2014 Game Critics Awards for the Best Action Game. Batman: Arkham Knight is the fourth installment in the series of action games about the Dark Knight. After weaker reviews of the third part, Batman: Arkham Origins, the publisher decided to re-entrust the work to Rocksteady studio, responsible for the success of the first two games of the series: Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009) and Batman: Arkham City (2011).  Like Hitchcock, Batman: Arkham Knight begins with an earthquake. Scarecrow, Batman's old enemy, has planted toxic bombs in Gotham City out of fear. Batman's most dangerous enemies took advantage of the confusion caused by the evacuation of the city's inhabitants. They dominated the abandoned Gotham City, pushed the police with Commissioner Gordon on the defensive, and united to finally defeat Batman. Among these villains were, among others Penguin, Harvey "Two-Face" Dent and Harley Quinn. In addition to the known antagonists, there is one more - the title Knight of Arkham, Batman's new opponent.  In terms of gameplay, Batman: Arkham Knight is an action game with a third person perspective (TPP), and the mechanics are similar to what was presented in the previous versions. However, a lot of minor changes have been introduced - for example, you can knock out several enemies at once or deal blows to lying opponents. The modified counter system has also returned. This time, the Dark Knight must be more careful when fighting, because not only stronger opponents can catch him, but also less significant "hurdles". A novelty in the series is also the introduction of the Bat-Man, well-known from comic books and movies. Using the Batmobile, the Dark Knight can quickly move from place to place, launch rockets, stun enemies, and catapult to immediately switch to gliding in the air, well-known from previous games. It is worth noting that in Arkham Knight the gameplay moves to the central zone of Gotham City, which has been divided into three separate areas. The entire map is also five times larger than the one presented in Arkham City.  The fourth installment of Batman's adventures is based on the Unreal Engine technology. However, the graphic design has been improved compared to the previous editions. Among others, the character models, and Batman's cape has been given new, advanced physics. The pre-rendered cutscenes, which are presented directly on the game engine, have also been abandoned.  Reception Arkham Knight game received positive critical reception, as well as high acclaim among the fans of the Dark Knight. The critics were full of praise for the story of the game, based around the character created by longtime Batman writer, Geoff Johns. The gameplay was also met with positive opinions, especially the Batmobile segments, which added a lot of variety to the gameplay experience. Arkham Knight received several accolades, including the 2014 Game Critics Awards for the Best Action Game. LEGO DC Super-Villains is the first installment of the series to focus on villains created by DC Comics. After the Justice League superheroes mysteriously disappeared, the Joker, Harley Quinn, Lex Luthor and Co. decided to bring order to the streets of Metropolis and Gotham City. Their aspirations are being tempered by the visitors from a parallel reality who are called the Syndicate of Justice; It soon emerges, however, that the self-styled saviors are not as well-intentioned as they might seem. Accordingly, the aforementioned villains have nothing else to do but face them. In the PC, PS4, etc. LEGO DC Super-Villains, the authors allow us to play not only the most popular super villains, but also less known anti-heroes; in addition, you can create your own protagonist from scratch with the powers of your choice. The production offers an open world at our disposal, and the gameplay does not differ significantly from what we were used to in the previous parts of the series. In the course of the game, we deal with traversing various locations and performing tasks that push the action forward, as well as fighting various opponents - both serial opponents and much more powerful bosses. In addition, there are platform elements, simple environmental puzzles and numerous collectibles. As usual, the whole thing is decorated with a large dose of humor.
