StarCraft: Remastered for PC is a refreshed edition of the classic real-time strategy from 1998. The production was developed by Blizzard Entertainment studio, the same team that produced the original.
The action of the game takes place in the distant future, in a distant region of the Milky Way known as the Koprulu Sector. In this place, representing humanity, the Terran Empire for the first time encounters alien races in the form of high-tech Protoss and animal Zerg. A great war breaks out between these factions that will forever change the balance of power in the galaxy.
When creating StarCraft: Remastered, the authors decided not to change anything in the gameplay mechanics. So we get a traditional RTS, in which we collect resources while playing, build bases, produce units, and finally lead them to attack the enemy's command center.
There are three playable factions to choose from, each one very different from the others, with unique advantages and disadvantages. Protoss have the most advanced technology and psionic abilities, and even a single unit of them can do a lot. Their weakness, however, is the small size of the army and the high costs of training troops and land development. Their opposite is the Zerg race. It focuses on hordes of weaker units that are cheap and can be grown at an express pace. At the same time, however, buildings can only be placed on transformed terrain, which takes some time. Terrans, on the other hand, are very versatile, and in addition extremely mobile thanks to the option of transporting buildings, but they carry out research slowly, and their structures are quite large, which makes it difficult to build bases.
We can play all of this in six campaigns (two for each faction) or in a multiplayer mode that allows you to compete with other players.
