Sid Meier's Railroads! Steam CD Key
Sid Meier’s Railroads! is an economic game prepared by Firaxis Games studio, which can be considered a natural heir to the legendary Railroad Tycoon series, launched in 1990 (also by Sid Meier). In terms of concept, this program does not differ from the rest of the series - our task will be to create a transport company in which the railroad plays the first fiddle.
Sid Meier’s Railroads! continues the tradition of its predecessors, focusing on an extremely easy-to-use system for the expansion of the railway infrastructure, which will especially please beginners. Bridges, tunnels, switches and even railway stations - all these structures are constructed automatically when the program deems them necessary. In addition to laying tracks, the player will also focus on creating trains, setting their compositions and setting a destination. The program offers over thirty locomotives, ranging from primitive steam engines, through diesel engines, to electric ones. There are twenty different raw materials waiting for transport, which are produced by numerous industrial plants (from sawmills to weapons factories).
Of course, just laying the tracks and watching the trains would be terribly boring, so the authors decided to implement the most advanced economic model that has ever appeared in a game of this type. The market tracking the demand and supply of goods is only some of the attractions. The strength of the program is primarily the numerous random events that can lead to sudden changes in the economic situation, and thus to the financial results achieved by all competing companies.
Sid Meier’s Railroads! has enormous potential in terms of additive design. The players have been provided with an editor for maps, scenarios, as well as tools allowing them to create their dream locomotive. In the latter case, we have a very wide room for maneuver - everything can be designed, not only the external appearance of the machine, but also its technical parameters.
The game offers an extensive variant of the single-player game. In addition to the traditional "sandbox", where we can create our empire without any restrictions, the authors also attempted demanding scenarios, where we will face living legends of rail transport, such as Cornelius Vanderbilt or J.P. Morgan. If we get bored with lonely challenges, we can always use the multiplayer option. You can play here in two ways: in cooperation or against each other.
