She witnessed the making of jasmine tea, watching how the fermented white flowers infuse their oils. She witnessed the serving of jasmine tea accompanied by floating flowers and tasted it in a moment that she wished would never end. One sip and all the senses expand into jasmine flowers outside of space and time. “Imperial Tea” is a pure and linear fragrance whose core is a green tea accord infused with Sambac jasmine absolute. It opens with Bergamot and Laminaria Algae – a rare ingredient in perfumery that offers a mineral and airy balance – that captures the mist of the ocean air and lingers on with notes of Vetiver and Musk. At the heart of the composition is Jasmine Tea, reminiscent of a regal Chinese cultural ritual that has lasted for millennia.
