Worlds of Magic is the work of the development team of the Polish studio Wastelands Interactive, which specializes in the strategy genre ( World War 2: Time of Wrath , Strategic War in Europe ). The cult game by Microprose - Master of Magic became a direct inspiration for the creators .
Story
Action Worlds of Magic takes place in a fantasy universe in which using magic and sword fighting rages for supremacy. Built from many dimensions (so-called plans), the game world is generated randomly, which ensures the uniqueness of each game.
Gameplay
As befits a 4X strategy, the game focuses on four aspects: exploration, expansion, exploitation and extermination. The player must expand his production and economic facilities and develop technologies to recruit units and conquer new territories, as well as protect the ones they already have. Importantly, victory can be achieved in many ways, not only through military action, but also through economic or political domination. The creators of Worlds of Magic have not forgotten about the elements characteristic of fantasy realities, such as the presence of fantastic races (including dwarves, elves and the undead) or the ability to cast spells assigned to 12 schools of magic. The entire mechanics is based on the D20 system, well known to fans of traditional RPG and miniature games.
