Age of Wonders: Planetfall - Star Kings is the third (after Revelations and Invasions) large addition to the turn-based science fiction strategy Age of Wonders: Planetfall released in 2019. The expansion, like the stand, was developed by the Triumph Studios team.  In addition to the cosmic war, a new power joins the Unbending, whom the Paladins will try to unite disparate groups and re-form the Star Union, bringing peace to the galaxy.  In the campaign, we lead a Paladin who must find the ancient Grail Configuration and save the galaxy. If it fails, it will witness the end of humanity.  Star Kings is a classically made addition. The authors did not make radical changes to the gameplay mechanisms, instead focusing on offering additional content. The biggest novelty is the introduction of the playable Unbending faction. Its armies consist mainly of Paladins, i.e. noble warriors clad in large mechanical armor and wielding electric weapons. They are assisted in their battles by mysterious Seers who have abilities to predict the future. An important novelty is the introduction to the game of Grails, i.e. powerful objects on maps, the addition of which provides long-term bonuses. Unlocking them requires the completion of multi-stage tasks, but they are worth the effort, as they greatly facilitate the construction of the most powerful empires. An additional attraction is the introduction of three new groups of wild animals to the game, which we have to deal with on the maps. Among them were vampire stone creatures known as Psjons and Mikoliane, or cyborgs, which were created as a result of the acquisition of agricultural machinery by mushrooms endowed with consciousness.
