Age of Wonders: Planetfall - Star Kings is the third (after Revelations and Invasions) large addition to the turn-based science fiction strategy Age of Wonders: Planetfall released in 2019. The expansion, like the stand, was developed by the Triumph Studios team.  In addition to the cosmic war, a new power joins the Unbending, whom the Paladins will try to unite disparate groups and re-form the Star Union, bringing peace to the galaxy.  In the campaign, we lead a Paladin who must find the ancient Grail Configuration and save the galaxy. If it fails, it will witness the end of humanity.  Star Kings is a classically made addition. The authors did not make radical changes to the gameplay mechanisms, instead focusing on offering additional content. The biggest novelty is the introduction of the playable Unbending faction. Its armies consist mainly of Paladins, i.e. noble warriors clad in large mechanical armor and wielding electric weapons. They are assisted in their battles by mysterious Seers who have abilities to predict the future. An important novelty is the introduction to the game of Grails, i.e. powerful objects on maps, the addition of which provides long-term bonuses. Unlocking them requires the completion of multi-stage tasks, but they are worth the effort, as they greatly facilitate the construction of the most powerful empires. An additional attraction is the introduction of three new groups of wild animals to the game, which we have to deal with on the maps. Among them were vampire stone creatures known as Psjons and Mikoliane, or cyborgs, which were created as a result of the acquisition of agricultural machinery by mushrooms endowed with consciousness. Necropolis for PC, PS4 and XONE is a combination of a third-person action game with elements of the roguelike genre. This is the second major work by the independent American studio Harebrained Schemes, founded in 2011 and debuting in 2013 as a classic representative of the cRPG genre - Shadowrun Returns. The action of this title is set in a fantasy setting, in which you can see science-fiction elements. The events take place in a cavernous magical complex with constantly changing shapes. The player takes on the role of a daredevil, whose task is to explore the corners of this place and get out of it, defeating the ruling beings - the mad archmage Abraxis and the "intelligence" created by him, which feeds on the souls of the unfortunates lured into her domain. The game is accompanied by a lot of humor, and the authors of the film The Cabin in the Woods were the source of inspiration in constructing the world (especially its bestiary). As for the gameplay model, we are dealing with a full-blooded action game, with a dynamic and demanding combat system based on timing and animations. We have to approach the clashes carefully and learn the behavior patterns of the opponents, and then use the gaps in their defense by launching combinations of light and strong attacks. Our chances are increased by brewing magic potions from collected components, as well as by looking for well-hidden mystical books that provide us with spells and runes. The world is procedurally generated. Interestingly, we can observe it not only at each subsequent start of the game, but also during the game - during the game, we sometimes hit points that allow us to randomly change locations. In addition, the developers have created a living ecosystem in which various creatures fight each other - this can be used by the hero to his advantage, for example by luring creatures that are enemies to each other. Necropolis for PC, PS4 and XONE is characterized by three-dimensional graphics designed in an unusual way. The creators focused on dark colors and models with a relatively small number of polygons combined with a world full of strange shapes and unusual structures.

Stellaris Apocalypse is the second major expansion pack released from the grand strategy game Stellaris. In this expansion, the player gets forces of destruction such as ion cannons mounted on starbases, Titan-class starships, a new faction in the galaxy, and the Colossus, a starship capable of decimating entire planets. The Apocalypse expansion pack comes with the Cherryh 2.0 patch, which introduced several new elements to the gameplay and reworked some of its components. Expansion Features Stellaris: Apocalypse new content is split between the expansion pack itself and the changes made in patch 2.0. The expansion pack introduces four major elements to the base game, the first and most important of which are certainly the Colossus-class spaceships. The player can choose from different types of weapons. Each has a different effect, from killing or assimilating species, to completely destroying life on a planet or even annihilating it completely. Other new features include Titan-class ships, large, heavily armed units that provide high bonuses to units serving under them, ion cannons capable of reaching the other end of the system, and a new faction of Marauders, appearing on the outskirts of the galaxy, from which the player can recruit mercenaries. Patch contents Patch 2.0 introduced in Stellaris: Apocalypse changes some game mechanics. These changes are quite significant and may affect the player's gameplay strategy. Fleets now have a size limit, and a Force Disparity Combat Bonus is awarded when a smaller fleet fights a larger fleet. FTL (Faster-than-light) travel has been modified, focusing primarily on hyperplanes, and highlight travel has been sped up to compensate for this. Several minor and major changes have been made in this expansion that make the layer carefully plan and test the limits of what it can and cannot do. Reception Stellaris: Apocalypse received a positive reception from critics. Reviewers praised the expansion's ambitious changes, some of which completely transformed the gameplay experience. The new content added by the expansion was also praised as a step in the right direction towards making Stellaris the ultimate galactic sandbox. Key Features Apocalypse Now!
