The overpopulated and polluted Old World is being decimated by a mysterious plague known as Malichor. Its inhabitants see a chance for rescue in the New World, and more precisely - in the island of Teer Fradee, allegedly full of treasures and other secrets, where the indigenous people live in harmony with nature. As the colonizers become bolder and bolder there, relations between them and the natives become more and more tense. In the course of the game, we play the role of a young legate of the Merchant Congregation who comes to the island to deal with diplomatic relations with other nations, but above all - to find a cure for a disease that destroys the Old World. During the adventure, we must make efforts not to expose ourselves too much to either the indigenous people (protected by the so-called Guardians - monsters and other supernatural beings who are a manifestation of magic at work here), or representatives of other factions from the continent. The decisions we make affect not only the distribution of power on the island, but also how you will be able to perform many tasks. We start playing GreedFall with the character creation process, which includes choosing a gender and a few basic attributes. The creators decided to use the hero development system without dividing into classes - there are over a hundred skills to be unlocked here, divided into three extended categories and allowing the protagonist to be adapted to the individual style of the game. The story is driven by tasks that we can perform in several ways. While nothing prevents you from using force to solve problems, it is often better to use deception or rely on your diplomatic skills. The path we take, as well as which of the parties we support in a given dispute, affects not only our reputation, but also the local geopolitical situation. In addition, the choices we make have an impact on which of the potential companions decides to join us, and on his later attitude towards the hero - it is possible to lead to both a romance and an open conflict with a given ally. During the long campaign, both people, local animals and the above-mentioned monsters, called the Guardians, stand in our way. During the fight, we use melee and firearms, which can be improved by making use of an extensive crafting system; the same goes for The three-dimensional graphics of GreedFall are pleasing to the eye. When working on the visual layer of the production in question, the developers modeled themselves on Baroque works of art and colonial-era sources. The production was created by the authors of the original, i.e. the Deck 13 studio, which previously worked with the Polish team of CI Games on the game Lords of the Fallen. Story The Surge 2 takes us on a journey to the dark science fiction universe created for the purposes of the first part of the series, in which machines have turned against humans. We meet the main character when his plane is knocked down by a nanostorm over the suburbs of the city of Jericho. A few weeks later, the protagonist wakes up in a ruined prison and quickly notices that the metropolis is plunged into chaos - its streets are raging with rebellious robots, which caused the military to declare martial law, leaving ordinary citizens to their fate. As if that were not enough, a mighty storm hung over Jericho. Gameplay In The Surge 2, the action is shown from the third person perspective (TPP). While traversing vast locations, we mainly focus on fighting enemies. Equipped with an exoskeleton, the hero uses melee weapons, but at his disposal there is also a combat drone, the skillful use of which can change the fate of many duel. The clashes are dynamic, and their tactical sense is useful. We have to carefully observe the adversaries' movements in order to find gaps in their defense as quickly as possible and parry their attacks (if we indicate the direction from which the attack is coming, we will be able to counter). In addition, just like in the first part of the series, you need to target specific body parts of your opponents here. By attacking an armored limb, we can cut it off to take over a given weapon or armament after the end of the skirmish; by focusing on the weak point, we ensure ourselves the ability to perform a quick kill. In the course of the game, we gain so-called Modular Points, which allow us to increase the vitality, stamina and energy reserve (needed to use the special capabilities of individual armor elements). In addition, the combat potential of the protagonist is increased with the help of special implants that provide him with various skills. The above-mentioned drone is also susceptible to modifications, which makes it an increasingly indispensable support for us in the course of the adventure.

The Next Big Thing is an old-style adventure game, reminiscent of the greatest hits made in the point'n'click formula. Pendulo Studios is responsible for its production, which became famous for three installments of the extremely popular Runaway series. The latest title is a free continuation of ideas previously used by Pendulo in Hollywood Monsters - a Spanish-language adventure game, originally released in 1997. The action takes place in the Hollywood world of the 1940s, spiced with fantastic elements. In the reality of The Next Big Thing, the role of celebrities, producers and movie stars is played by monsters. In the game, we play the role of two charismatic heroes - journalist Dan Murray and his colleague Liz Allaire - involved in an original story full of unusual twists. Both characters are very different in character and therefore they honestly hate each other. The blonde Liz is intelligent, ambitious, professional and energetic, but at the same time a bit crazy and obsessively truthful, which often puts her in quite a lot of trouble. Dan is the braziest, cunning, lying, and unbearably seductive sports reporter in all of California. The story begins when the two main characters are commissioned to report on one of the big Hollywood parties. They accidentally witness a break-in into the film office of the giant William Fitzrandolph. Liz without hesitation decides to take matters into her own hands, starting an investigation. Unfortunately, her partner, as well as a whole bunch of various, more or less human residents of a luxury mansion, is not so eager to cooperate, especially since the whole thing seems to have a deeper intrigue. The game is full of humor, riddles and puzzles, as well as references to mass culture, including famous movies and TV series. As in the previous productions of the Pendulo studio, we meet a lot of bizarre characters during the game. One of them is prof. A fly that, after an accident during the tests of its invention, turned into a half human, half fly. The Next Big Thing is a 100% adventure game. The fun consists mainly in searching the locations thoroughly, having conversations, collecting items and, of course, solving puzzles. We start by choosing one of the three difficulty levels. The first one has built-in hints and the ability to highlight elements of the location in which we can do something. The middle level has the tips turned off, and the highest level lacks any of these facilities. The story was served in a graphic style characteristic of Pendulo Studios, maintained in a humorous, cartoon style with strongly saturated colors. The game uses the same technical solutions as in Runaway: A Twist of Fate, although the characters and backgrounds were developed in Full HD for the first time. It is also worth adding that the creators went with the times and offered support for many different resolutions. Owners of modern monitors do not have to worry that the view will be spoiled by the black stripes on the sides of the screen.
