A Year Of Rain is a real-time strategy, developed primarily for multiplayer fun. Behind the creation and release of this production is the German studio Daedalic Entertainment, whose portfolio includes such items as the Blackguards, The Whispered World and Deponia series, as well as productions such as The Pillars of the Earth or The Dark Eye: The Curse of Crows. Story A Year Of Rain takes us on a journey to a fantastic world in conflict. There are three factions waging war for influence here: House of Rupah, Wild Outcasts and Restless Undead. While playing, we take control of one of these groups and try to lead them to victory. Gameplay In A Year Of Rain, the action is shown from a bird's eye view. During the game, we acquire raw materials, expand our headquarters, and recruit soldiers, which we then send to fight. The list of the latter includes both infantry and cavalry, as well as special units like the cleric who heals wounded allies or the Djinn attacking enemies with powerful combat spells. As we progress, we increase the combat potential of each of our subordinates, unlocking new skills and developing existing ones, as well as working on various improvements (such as stronger armor). Story The game tells the story of the crew of the prototype spacecraft, which is the first unit in the history of mankind to be equipped with a super-light drive. During the maiden flight, the jump was only planned for a short distance. However, there was an accident, as a result of which the ship was thrown into a remote and completely unexplored region of the galaxy. The player takes on the role of the captain and has to find a way to return home. Gameplay The background of the action is a vast stretch of space, densely populated with planets, adventures and alien races. The creators made it possible to visit it without any restrictions: we choose the route, tasks and the way of their implementation ourselves. It is necessary to gather resources, fight enemies, search for artifacts of extinct civilizations, and deal with natural forces such as gravitational anomalies, radiation or extremely high temperatures. It is also possible to land on surfaces and obtain materials there, and to complete quests commissioned by other races. The game has a gravitational force simulation system.
