Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse is an action game in which we play the role of revenge-hungry zombies devastating a retro-futuristic city. The production was developed by Wideload Games studio, while its release was handled by Aspyr Media. The action of Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse begins in 1933. The main character - traveling salesman Edward "Stubbs" Stubblefield - is mutually in love with Maggie Monday. Their love, however, is a salt in the eye of the girl's father - Otis Monday. One day, Stubbs is attacked and killed, and his body is abandoned in a remote area. In 1959, billionaire Andrew Monday builds the metropolis of Punchbowl, where bored Americans could seek entertainment and a chance for a better life. During the opening ceremony, it is revealed that it was built exactly on the site of Stubbs' resting place. The hero rises from the grave and decides to find out who was behind his death, as well as find out what fate befell his beloved. By the way, the protagonist gives vent to his lust for revenge, devouring the brains of the inhabitants of Punchbowl and killing them or turning them into zombies that will power his private army. In Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse, the action is shown from a third person perspective (TPP). During the game, we mainly deal with sowing chaos wherever we appear. Bloober Team also tried to diversify in the form of small logical and dexterity sequences, which from time to time will stand in our way, making the trip more diverse. During the game on PC, PS4, etc., we can use many items (pianos, chains, levers, switches), open cabinets, chests of drawers or doors, and read materials left here and there. The game does not allow you to use weapons or other means of defense against dangers and does not use any indicators (e.g. mental health), but it allows you to confront the hero's delusions, which can lead to a kind of "death". The tension is gradually built up by scarecrows that sometimes appear out of nowhere. The pace of the game is also given by the dynamically changing environment, the appearance, condition and layout of which are constantly changing contrary to the laws of logic, often forcing us to verify the direction in which we want to go.
