Esab 3.2mm 21.03 Cutmat Electrode ESAB 21.03 Cutmat is an electrode for gouging and bevelling all types of steel, cast iron and for all metals except pure copper. OK 21.03 has a thick, specially-developed coating, which produces a strong gas jet to blow away the melted material. Welding current DC-, AC (OCV min 70 V) ESAB OK21.03 Gouging Electrodes ESAB OK 21.03 gouging & cutting electrodes size 3, 2mm x 350mm long packed in 3.5 kg box also avaible as a ""slab"" of 3 packs = 10.5kg. These electrodes have beendesigned for use at 15-20 degrees and pushed forward in the direction of travel. The gouging speed is generally between 1000 and 1500mm/minute. Multiple passes may be made to make deep gouges. Welding may take place immediately afterwards in mild steel. If gouging stainless steel the gouge path must be ground clean to remove the carbon deposit the gouge rod leaves. Gouging makes a lot of fume and this will need to be taken into account.
