It explores uses of power both by dominant firms, often multinationals, and incumbent governments and cronies, to ring-fence their market positions and deprive rivals - often the indigenous people - from fair access to markets and highlights how competition authorities are pushing back and winning fair access, lowering prices of goods and services especially for the poorer population. The book also examines the next level up - regionalism - and provides the facts that show how regionalism has so far failed to meet its promise of freeing markets from cross-border restraints by large firms that operate across national borders. On the more technical side, the book takes a deep look at the competition policies of sets of nations in sub-Saharan Africa - West, South-eastern, and South. It examines the performance of the competition authorities of particular nations, including how they handle cartels, monopolies, and mergers; their standards of illegality, and their methodologies for incorporating public interest values into their analyses. Observing the good works by a number of the national competition authorities, the book is optimistic about the role of the national competition authorities in protecting the people from abuses of economic power, and, perhaps in the future, the role of regional authorities and less formal networks in promoting an African voice in defence of competition.

In addition, while the album’s most famous track, ‘Out On The Street,’ is rightly regarded as New Zealand’s glam rock anthem, the wider album demonstrates a compositional and musical depth that goes far beyond glam rock and into the realm of sophisticated progressive rock, ultimately providing an unlikely and highly unique musical amalgam.

Frederik Næblerød (f. 1988) er en af dansk samtidskunst mest kompromisløse unge talenter. Hans værker bunder i det spontane og henter inspiration fra kunstnerens umiddelbare omgivelser, som med stor skaberkraft omsættes til et ekspressivt og humoristisk univers, der spænder over alt fra maleri, tegninger, keramik, fotografi, collager, skulpturer og installationer. Fotografen Fredrik Clement (f. 1972) har fulgt Næblerød siden 2022, da Næblerød stod på kanten af sit internationale gennembrud og over for en væsentlig kunstnerisk og personlig udvikling. I bogens dokumentariske fotografier kommer vi helt tæt på Næblerød, både i hans studie og på opgaver og rejser i Danmark og udlandet. Med tiden udviskes grænserne mellem fotograf og kunstner, og projektet udvikler sig i retning af kunstnerisk samskabelse. Næblerød maler på Clements fotografier og skaber en serie af selvportrætter, som er en helt ny form i hans virke. Bogens billeder er vist på Næblerøds soloudstilling All Walks Of Life på ARKEN Museum for Samtidskunst. Bogen giver et personligt og råt indblik i Næblerøds praksis og viser os, hvilken drivkraft og frisættelse der ligger i at udtrykke sig så legende, vildt og spontant, som han gør. Clements billeder suppleres med et forord af kunstneren Jeppe Hein og en tekst af kunsthistoriker og direktør for ARKEN, Marie Nipper. Bogens tekster er på både dansk og engelsk.

Kan en virksomhed straffes for uagtsomt manddrab, hvis en medarbejder omkommer pga. dårligt arbejdsmiljø? – Kan en leder straffes for sine ansattes fejl? – Hvad er sammenhængen mellem jurisdiktionsreglerne og en straffebestemmelses gyldighedsområde? Bogen er skrevet som lærebog til jurastudiet, men i et sprog og med en lang række eksempler, så ikke-jurister også kan følge fremstillingen.
