Detailed tests in selected locations have revealed that the Quiet Design VQD106 reduces noise by 75% compared to a conventional V-Drums. Ultra Sensitive Snare Drum Pads and Toms Despite their advanced noise reduction characteristics, the VDQ106's snare and toms provide a natural feel under the drumsticks, identical to those of the best V-Drums. The PDQ-8S and PDQ-8 pads feature a honeycomb rubber striking surface covered with a mesh head that greatly absorbs sound. Carefully calculated vents opposite the striking surface allow air to escape and further reduce noise. The PDQ-8S snare has independent head and hoop sensors, and the latter is covered with soft rubber to be silently triggered. Articulated cymbal pads with natural oscillation.
