Advances in Broadband Communication and Networks - - Bog - River Publishers - Plusbog.dk

Broadband communications has become the major focus for industry for offering rich multimedia IP services in next generation networks. This book deals with the state-of-the-art and the underlying principles of key technologies which facilitate broadband telecommunications including millimetre wave gigabit Ethernet, terahertz communication, multiple input multiple output (MIMO) technology, orthogonal frequency division multiplex (OFDM), ultra wideband (UWB) and the fourth generation (4G) network technologies. The book illustrates the use of these technologies, including high resolution three-dimensional millimetre wave radar imaging and terahertz imaging techniques. Within the next few years advances in graphic rendering and the application of millimetre wave radar technology will enable high resolution radar surveillance and operators of industrial processes to control their machines and to navigate remotely even in poor visibility environments. The principles and performance of terahertz imaging are also demonstrated in this important book. The performance and success of emerging all-IP networks depend largely on the efficiency of broadband technologies and this book provides the basis for 4G networks and explores key performance measures such as quality of service and handover between distributed networks (mobile and fixed). The book also demonstrates the medical and biomedical applications of broadband wireless communications.

The Maintenance Partnership Relationship - Kenneth E. Bannister - Bog - River Publishers - Plusbog.dk

The Maintenance Partnership Relationship - Kenneth E. Bannister - Bog - River Publishers - Plusbog.dk

This book''s purpose is to discover and review the many relationships that maintenance will need to foster daily if it is to become best in class. Success in any walk of life is dependent on partner relationships. A successful marriage is based on a relationship in which both partners collectively embrace their similarities, whilst they collaborate to use each other''s strengths to overcome weaknesses and bridge their differences. Where teams are concerned, there will be many partner relationships that will need to be navigated and managed separately to achieve a defined and unified level of success. On any single day, a maintainer must interact multiple times with internal and external resource partners to perform their job. To function professionally a maintenance department must set up and manage multiple partnerships on a continual basis. Partnerships are relationships that live or die based on an understanding of the input and output communications and tangible deliverables required from both sides to make quality management decisions and enable each partner to consistently deliver on their performance mandate at minimum cost. Building healthy business partner relationships allows both partners to state their respective points of view— and teaches us not to make assumptions on each other’s behalf. Understanding, measuring and tracking what we control lets us objectively define how and where the partnership must work together to better manage and resolve issues that are out of our control, or those we must simply manage.

Green Energy - - Bog - River Publishers - Plusbog.dk

Green Energy - - Bog - River Publishers - Plusbog.dk

Green Energy is increasingly becoming an important component for all individuals and governments of the world. According to Brundtland Commission Report (Our Common Future, 1987) of United Nations states: sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Green Energy is widely considered as Sustainable Energy/ Re-newable Energy which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generation to meet their own needs. In the global movement of Green Energy Sustainable Renewable Energy, most of the countries decided to be a part of this movement of saving our planet and our future generation. This effort is supported by eleven international authors who are experts in their respective fields. The output is this book Green Energy. This book is comprises of six chapters. The first chapter discusses how global temperature can be controlled with the help of technology. Second chapter explains about green buildings. It explains about costs and benefits of green houses. Third chapter discusses about biofuels. Fourth chapter discusses about technical feasibility of Renewable Electricity Generation in Nunavut. Fifth chapter presents a summary of 15 years of grass root project experience in Partnership with impoverished, remote high altitude communities in the Nepal Himalayas. Sixth chapter argues that, contrary to popular belief, sustainable sources, in particular solar power, are capable of providing allthe energy the Europe needs at reasonable cost.

6G: The Road to the Future Wireless Technologies 2030 - Paulo Sergio Rufino Henrique - Bog - River Publishers - Plusbog.dk

6G: The Road to the Future Wireless Technologies 2030 - Paulo Sergio Rufino Henrique - Bog - River Publishers - Plusbog.dk

Since the launch of Second-Generation Networks (2G), planning for each future mobile service was initiated many years before its commercial launch. In 2019, 5G Networks begun to be deployed commercially after almost ten years of planning. Similarly, the race for the 6G wireless networks that will be operational in 2030 has already started. To fulfill its potential in the upcoming decade, 6G will undoubtedly require an architectural orchestration based on the amalgamation of existing solutions and innovative technologies. The book will begin by evaluating the state of the art of all current mobile generations'' while looking into their core building blocks. 6G implementation will require fundamental support from Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning on the network''s edge and core, including a new Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum. The 6G use cases will require advanced techniques for enabling the future wireless network to be human-centric, ensuring enhanced quality of experience (QoE) for most of its applications. The concept of Human Bond Communication Beyond 2050 (Knowledge Home) and Communication, Navigation, Sensing, and Services (CONASENSE) will also profit from future wireless communication. Terahertz domains will exploit the ultra-Massive Multiple Input Multiple Output Antennas (UM-MIMO) technologies to support Terabits'' data throughputs. Moreover, optical wireless communications (OWC) will also come into play to support indoor and outdoor high-data rates. Further expansion of 6G core entities will support the novel concept of Society 5.0. Quantum computing processing and communications is also likely to be added into the 6G ecosystem with security managed by blockchain orchestration for a robust network.

Understanding Communications Systems Principles—A Tutorial Approach - Hector J. De Los Santos - Bog - River Publishers - Plusbog.dk

Understanding Communications Systems Principles—A Tutorial Approach - Hector J. De Los Santos - Bog - River Publishers - Plusbog.dk

Wireless communications and sensing systems are nowadays ubiquitous; cell phones and automotive radars typifying two of the most familiar examples. This book introduces the field by addressing its fundamental principles, proceeding from its very beginnings, up to today''s emerging technologies related to the fifth-generation wireless systems (5G), Multi-Input Multiple Output (MIMO) connectivity, and Aerospace/Electronic Warfare Radar. The tone is tutorial. Problems are included at the end of each chapter to facilitate the understanding and assimilation of the material to electrical engineering undergraduate/graduate students and beginning and non-specialist professionals. Free temporary access to Keysight''s SystemVue system simulation is provided to further enhance reader learning through hands-on tutorial exercises.Chapter 1 introduces wireless communications and sensing and in particular how curiosity-driven scientific research led to the foundation of the field. Chapter 2 presents a brief introduction to the building blocks that make up wireless systems. Chapter 3 focuses on developing an understanding of the performance parameters that characterize a wireless system. Chapter 4 deals with circuit topologies for modulation and detection. In chapter 5 we cover the fundamental transmitter and receiver systems architectures that enable the transmission of information at precise frequencies and their reception from among a rather large multitude of other signals present in space. Chapter 6 introduces 5G, its motivation, and its development and adoption challenges for providing unprecedented levels of highest speed wireless connectivity. Chapter 7 takes on the topic of MIMO, its justification and its various architectures. Chapter 8 addresses the topic of aerospace/electronic warfare radar and finally Chapter 9 presents three Tutorials utilizing the SystemVue simulation tool.
