Inspired by classic zombie horrors, the creators decided to combine elements of an old-school shooter in the style of Green Beret and a "tower defense" strategy. Story The action of the game is set in a world dominated by hordes of hungry zombies. The player directs the actions of a soldier who, as one of the few people, still faces the living dead. To survive, the hero has to live the next 30 days and the same number of nights. Gameplay The game is divided into two main elements. During the day, the hero travels the surrounding areas in search of weapons (in total there are 17 types in the game - from the MP-40 rifle to laser guns) and equipment that will help him survive the night, when his modest base survives a real zombie siege. The game consists in shooting at the advancing hordes of living dead and at least temporarily stopping them thanks to obstacles (fences, barbed wire, etc.). As the game progresses, the hero meets new survivors who support him in defending the base and fighting zombies. Features: Elements of tower defense and retro Contra style gameplay. Hypercharge: Unboxed is an FPS enriched with tower defense elements. The production was developed by the independent Digital Cybercherries studio. In Hypercharge: Unboxed we play the role of a plastic toy soldier whose task is to defend the core (Hyper-Core) against a massive attack by opponents. There is a lot at stake because if this one is destroyed, all toys, comics and cartoons will be completely forgotten by people. In Hypercharge: Unboxed we observe the action from the first person perspective (FPP). During the game, we fight fierce battles with opponents, and the battlefields are located in places such as the kitchen, guest room, bedroom or even the backyard. Before the battle begins, set up traps for opponents, barbed wire and automatic cannons, and build various fortifications. When the next waves of toy adversaries (among which there are other soldiers, air units or even a giant dinosaur) start to attack us, we have to defend ourselves at all costs, using an extensive arsenal of firearms and gadgets; besides, a power supply should be provided for our automated killing tools, as their batteries will run out over time. As we progress, we gain experience points and develop our character; in addition, we unlock skins, thanks to which we can modify the appearance of the hero and his weapons.
