rFactor 2 is a sequel to one of the best car racing simulations by the American Image Space Incorporated studio. The team is known mainly for their cooperation with automotive professionals, which resulted in the release of an improved version of the first part of the game, available only to people working on Formula 1 cars.In rFactor 2, compared to its predecessor, the developers decided to improve and modernize many elements related to the competition itself. Both in single player and multiplayer mode, there are additional options that modify weather conditions. Before leaving for the track, users decide for themselves whether they want to race in sunny weather, in the rain, or be surprised by the heavy downpour during the race. The implemented system of dynamic weather conditions makes the fight even more unpredictable and surprising when it comes to the final results. In addition, the studio improved the physics of collisions between objects, which applies not only to car accidents, but also to single cones, tires, signs and advertising banners.In each race, the traction of the track is variable. The RealRoad module counts the driving style of individual drivers in real time and increases the amount of rubber on the parts of the asphalt that are most often peeled by users with subsequent laps. The situation changes when it rains. The track grip then drops drastically, increasing the likelihood of skidding.The standard equipment of rFactor 2 includes several classes of vehicles - from good old cars, in which aces like Jackie Stewart and Jim Clark raced, to passenger cars with lower power and maximum speed. In addition, the creators have included many famous tracks, incl. Belgian Spa-Francorchamps (also the 1967 version), Malaysian Sepang, German Nurburgring, Italian Monza, or the American Mid-Ohio.
