Decisive Campaigns: Case Blue is a proposition of the VR Designs development studio addressed to lovers of turn-based strategies. Similarly to the first part of the series - Decisive Campaigns: The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw, released in 2010, the game is based on classic solutions, including a hexagonal board and an easy-to-use user interface.Decisive Campaigns: Case Blue offers 4 campaigns and 3 additional scenarios, for which the common denominator is the military operations carried out in 1942 on the Eastern Front. Players have the opportunity to participate, among others in the battles for the Caucasus and the famous siege of Stalingrad. Much emphasis was placed on fidelity to historical realities. This applies to the units available in the game, the tactics used, and even the characters of the officers.Based on the experience with The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw, the creators decided to introduce a number of innovations in the game. First of all, computer artificial intelligence has been improved, guiding the actions of the opposing side in single-player battles. Other changes include an extensive system of issuing orders, the ability to create new divisions and replenish the existing ones, logistics and transport management (e.g. the option to build army logistics centers), as well as variable weather conditions affecting the outcome of the clashes.

Empires is the subtitle of another production from the Field of Glory banner . I am talking about a series of strategy games based on the popular board game of the same name. The title was developed by AGEOD studio, and as was the case with the previous installments of the series, it was released by Slitherine. Story Field of Glory: Empires takes us on a journey to ancient Europe inhabited by various tribes and nations that developed diametrically different cultures. As we play, we follow and shape the fate of the continent from 310 BC to 190 AD. Gameplay The gameplay in Field of Glory: Empires takes place on the vast map divided into regions over a thousand. During the game, we mainly deal with the gradual shifting of the borders of our empire and the conquest of new areas. In order to strengthen our army and ensure the prosperity of citizens, as well as to ensure the economic and cultural background of the country, we erect various buildings in our territories, adjust the details of the functioning of individual territories and form provinces (which helps control the country), and create trade routes. An important role in this production is played by tactical battles fought in turn-based mode , on maps covered with square fields. The authors provide us with over four hundred and fifty types of units and over a thousand commanders and generals , without whose help we would not be able to live on the battlefield. However, the sheer size of the army we have deployed does not guarantee success - we must know the strengths and weaknesses of individual subordinates and skillfully use the former during battles, as well as remember about the appropriate positioning of our troops.
