Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is a turn-based strategy game. The title is set in the popular science fiction universe, Warhammer 40,000, known from a miniatures game under the same name and numerous computer productions. The work was developed by Black Lab Games studio (creators of Battlestar Galactica Deadlock and the Star Hammer series). The publisher is Slitherine. In the Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector campaign, we lead a certain Sergeant Carleon, belonging to the so-called Space Marines from the Blood Angel legion. The action of the game takes place on the moon of Baal, and the story follows the aftermath of the great battle known as the Devastation of Baal. The main opponents are creatures called Tyranids. Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is a fairly classic, turn-based strategy game in which we observe the action from various perspectives (most often from above, but we can move the camera freely). The player's task is to manage units on the battlefield in such a way as to defeat the opponents. The key role here is played by both the appropriate positioning of soldiers, as well as the use of their various weapons and dozens of different special abilities. Powerful heroes have a great influence on the battlefield, often using superhuman abilities (e.g. psionic powers). The game allows us to direct a number of iconic units, such as Sanguinary Priest, Librarian Dreadnought or Hive Tyrant (a monster on the Tyranid side). The production also offers the possibility of summoning air support and the interesting mechanics of Momentum, which allows you to combine the actions of several units into devastating combinations.
