Morningstar: Descent to Deadrock is a science-fiction adventure game in the FPP convention, developed by the independent Hungarian studio Red Herring Labs. The title is a commercial remake of the popular Morningstar flash adventure, which made its debut in browsers in May 2009.In the game, we play the role of an astronaut named Powell, participating in a routine mercenary mission aboard the title ship Mornigstar. The expedition turns into a real fight for life when, as a result of a strange gravitational force, a frigate crashes onto an unknown planet. After regaining consciousness, our hero realizes that he is the only one to survive the crash unscathed and only he can repair the damaged vehicle in order to get out of the trap. While exploring the planet, he also discovers that it is strewn with the wreckage of other ships. Our protagonist will try to find out who or what is responsible for all the disasters and the death of so many people, and will try to find a way to escape before he also suffers the same fate.We observe the development of the action from the eyes of the protagonist, and the gameplay is subordinated to the classic mechanics of point-and-click adventure games. Our goal is to explore new locations, solve various puzzles and search for useful items and their applications. Compared to its Flash prototype, the storyline of the game has been greatly expanded and enriched with new plots, locations and puzzles to be solved. The new version also features high-quality HD graphics and remastered high-definition cutscenes. The adventure is accompanied by a refreshed, original soundtrack and full acting dubbing.
