Stranglehold is an action game made under the watchful eye of a famous director named John Woo. This product is a de facto continuation of the 1992 film Hard Boiled (the Polish title is Children of the Triad ) - it was the last work of the aforementioned cinematographic artist, shot in Hong Kong before his move to Hollywood. Developers from the Midway corporation served us a dynamic and effective presentation of the assumptions of the scenario with the help of three-dimensional graphics, displayed thanks to the third generation Unreal Engine. In order to guarantee the high quality of the visuals, the authors of the product in question have made it available only to owners of PeCets and modern consoles (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360)
Gameplay
The gameplay contains many elements characteristic of John Woo's sensational films. The protagonist often uses two pistols at the same time, the characters jump over obstacles like tigers, and the bullets flying in different directions lead to a huge destruction of the environment. In addition, you can slow down the course of events at the right moments (Tequila Time system), making it easier, for example, to shoot several enemies at once. The physical algorithms of Havok also make a great impression on the user. The whole thing is complemented by a perfectly working virtual camera (the action is always shown from the best possible shot) and the presence of cut-scenes, ensuring the coherence of the plot.
