Black Future '88 is a 2D arcade shooter with platformer elements. The game was prepared by the independent studio Super Scary Snakes, which made its official debut with it. Players find themselves in a post-apocalyptic world. A man named Duncan caused a nuclear holocaust by being responsible for dropping atomic bombs. The first fell in the summer of 1988, and by December the sky was completely obscured by clouds from which nuclear rain continues to fall. Those who survived the bomb blasts will die of the flood anyway. The only chance is to defeat Duncan, hiding on the top floor of the great tower. Players go to a randomly generated building with its crazy owner on top. Our task is to eliminate it. The gameplay boils down mainly to combat, during which we use various murder tools found during the game (over 50 unique weapons have been prepared in total) and the unique skills of the heroes - we can control one of five different characters. In addition, we have over 30 reinforcements and curses at our disposal, which help to adapt our capabilities to current needs; However, you have to choose them carefully and combine them with each other, because "overdosing" will make our protagonist's heart explode. The tower is divided into five different zones with different rules. In each of them you have to face a very dangerous boss. Black Future '88 encourages you to repeat the game over and over again, but if someone gets bored with the single player mode, you can try your hand at cooperation for two people. In addition, there are daily challenges in which we can prove ourselves by competing for the best results with players from around the world.
