Eastshade Europe Steam Altergift
Eastshade is an exploratory adventure game. This is the debut project of the Eastshade Studios team.The action takes place in a peaceful, magical land. We play the role of a traveling painter who comes to the eponymous island of Earthshade, famous for its beautiful views. Our main task is to capture the beauty of local nature with paints, but we also quickly start interacting with the locals. We get to know their stories and problems. We make friends and try to help those who need it.In Eastshade we observe the action from the eyes of the protagonist, and the fun focuses on exploration, but there are also more traditional gameplay mechanisms. The island hides many secrets, and initially large stretches of it are inaccessible to the protagonist. So we are forced to think up ways to overcome natural obstacles standing in our way, which often requires gathering appropriate resources and combining them into useful items using a crafting system. Our actions and decisions have important consequences and shape the further fate of the local population. Instead of one big story, the authors have prepared a large set of smaller stories related to specific inhabitants of the island. Interactions with characters take place both through the branching system of dialogues and through specific player actions. Our images also influence them. The mechanisms of their creation are simple. We get an interface that allows us to capture any part of the environment in a frame, and the hero then makes all the necessary brush movements.
