Metro 2033 Redux is a refreshed edition of Metro 2033, the first installment of the Metro series and the customization of Dmitry Głuchowski's book of the same title. The original was the debut title of the Ukrainian studio 4A Games, and the new version was created for the eighth generation consoles. The production offers both the main story campaign and all DLC add-ons.
The action of the Metro series takes place in the world after a nuclear disaster that wiped out humanity from the face of the Earth. Only those who managed to hide in underground shelters, as well as in the tunnels of the Moscow metro, survived. The main character of the series is young Artem, who lives in one of the small settlements. Although the inhabitants have plenty of water and food, they have to face the attacks of mutant monsters. Recently, the attacks of these beasts have intensified, significantly thinning the ranks of the defenders. When Artyom's father's friend does not return from another trip, the young man sets out to warn other subway residents and find a way to save his home.
Characters in game
One of the most important elements of the metro franchise are characters. There so many people you are going to meet. First there is Artyom who was born not to long before the apocalypse. Hence, he knows nothing about the normal world and living on the surface.
However, due to a crazy coincidence he is now considered a chosen one who is supposed to save the humanity. Then there is Eugine who is actually a secondary character. He is the best friend of Artyom and is constantly insulting him (in a friendly manner). When Eugine is finally killed by Dark Ones, Artyom finally decides to take the matter in his own hand.
