Elden Ring - (PC) Steam EUROPE Digital Key

Elden Ring for PC is an action role playing game (ARPG) written by superstars George R R Martin (the author of the Song of Ice and Fire series of books which begat television show Game of Thrones) and Hidetaka Miyazake (who is famed for many popular video games: from the Souls series, to Bloodborne, to Sekiro amongst many others). About the Game The Elden Ring has been destroyed and its shards have scattered throughout the lands, forming the Great Runes. Some of these shards have fallen into the hands of the children of Queen Marika the Eternal, and the promise of even more power has corrupted each of the six demi-gods. The people who live on the land, used to enjoy the Grace of the Ring, given by the Erdtree, which showed with a kind of golden glow in the eyes – this glow has faded, indicating the loss of Grace, and those who remain are now called ‘the Tarnished.’ You are one of them, an exile from the Lands Between, because of the loss of Grace – and now it is your job to find the shards, restore the Ring and become Elden Lord, returning good to the land. The Lands Between is a vast open world system so you can wander through the six regions (one per boss/ demi-god) in the Lands Between: exploring castles, fortresses, catacombs, caves, grassy plains, suffocating swamps, spiralling mountains and so much more. Each demi-god (being one of the Queen’s children) rules their section of the land, and eventually defeating them is the equivalent of a boss battle. All defeated enemies are transformed into spirits who can then be summoned to help you out when you need it. This summoning is also available in multiplayer mode – although in this case you call up other players to give you a hand! For unexplained reasons, you have a spectral horse to ride as you wrest the shards from the demi-gods and hope to impress the Erdtree into restoring your Grace. The Nitty Gritty The intense combat scenes thrive on close-up melees in which you get hands-on with the enemies. However, there is also a newly introduced stealth mode for those who prefer to sidle past rather than attack. Instead of skill trees, you will find advances in skill and weaponry by exploring the map and discovering hoards, crafting what you need, and chatting to NCPs and demons alike to see what tips and gifts they can offer you. The character is fully customisable so you can tweak your look to your own satisfaction. Gameplay, while hard, is still not be as tricky as some of the Souls games. Pay attention to the weather, though, as there is a weather and time system which can affect your success rate. Other details to be aware of include the fact that you can fast travel between places, there is a central hub area which you can access after completing the game to a pre-set point – access to it is not given, it must be earned! Your stamina bar is a useful measure of how you’re doing, you can change readily between the wide array of weapons, and your magical horse can go straight up sheer cliffs! Ways to Play Story Mode: Single player mode sees you exploring the large and detailed open world setting, exploring to your heart’s content and solving quests as you like PVP: Multi-player mode sets you up against fellow players to battle to see who is the best! Co-op: Play with up to three of your friends (in a team of four, in other words) and enjoy the banter and working together to achieve your goals

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum for PC is a third-person action-adventure game that follows the character of everyone’s favourite split-personality villain, Gollum. The game is set before the events depicted in the Lords of the Rings trilogy – and can be seen as Gollum/ Smeagol’s origin story, if you will. ABOUT THE GAME You will play as Gollum, enjoying yourself as you pick up skills that he has mastered and honed over the last 500 years or so. There are plenty of favourite Middle-Earth locations to explore, each playing an important part in the shaping of Gollum into the crazed being who half creeps us out, half captures our sympathies. Play through Mirkwood; Cirith Ungol and Barad-Dur Tower – see more about these below. Gandalf and the elven king of the time, Thranduil (who just happens to be Legolas’s future dad) make appearances, as do both sides of Gollum’s split personality. And, just in case blood-thirsty orcs aren’t scary enough for you, Shelob, the immense and terrifyingly hungry spider, appears in the game too. Gollum – and his kinder Hobbit side, Smeagol – have fabulous climbing and parkouring skills, but the character doesn’t start out like the Gollum we all know and love – he starts out as a normal Hobbit and it is, in part, your decisions that cause the Gollum mutations away from the Smeagol norm. You could always make the morally correct choices: but this isn’t always wise as you will see below. THE NITTY GRITTY Gollum’s skills include stealth, with Gollum creeping about, using the shadows to his advantage. The game’s narrative arc is not completely spent in the darkness, protecting his precious from all and sundry – Gollum’s time as a slave under the dark tower is covered as is his time as a captive with the elves of Mirkwood. As Gollum is small and frail, he must use guile and cunning along with stealth and his superb climbing skills to best his enemies, rather than facing them with a swinging sword. The section of the game based in Mordor includes the tutorial, so you will always start there, seeing and avoiding Orcs and learning your way around Gollum’s controls and seeing the dual options when the Smeagol and Gollum sides battle one another. Gollum can lure unwary travellers to a quiet place to dispatch them, but this drains his stamina metre, so keep an eye on it, and – where possible – do your killing with stealth and distraction instead. There is no skill tree to master: Gollum has been waiting for you for 500 years and already has all the fully mastered skills he needs to win: it is you who must quickly learn to keep up! LOCATIONS IN THE GAME The game developers are obviously fans of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit before it, as they have included plenty of Tolkienesque locations in Middle Earth: Barad-Dur Tower: Being ‘soft’ or weak in Sauron’s home base, a place oozing with evil: also known as the Dark Tower with good reason, could get you killed so playing up the evil Gollum side might be to your advantage here, no matter how much you want to resist the lure of the Ring Mirkwood: Populated by elves, Mirkwood is the opposite of Barad-Dur Tower, and responds better to ‘good’ choices by Gollum’s softer side so you will get to experience both sides of Gollum’s psyche. Mirkwood is a kinder place, with far fewer enemies to strike down and much more of a puzzle platformer vibe to it Cirith Ungol: the dark orc-populated path through the mountains of Mordor which also plays home to the giant arachnid, Shelob, is the place where Frodo comes across Gollum in later years
