It's the leading contender for the official name of the @ symbol, of course! OVERVIEW Gentlheim has been invaded by Lord Z, who has surrounded the village with 5 extraplanar towers and the dungeons beneath, filled with evil creatures. Even worse, he has stolen language itself from the townspeople! As the warrior mage Ampersat, you must venture deep into the dungeons and high above the land in the treacherous towers, defeat countless minions and restore language to Gentlheim so the townsfolk can communicate properly and help you defeat Lord Z himself. GENTLHEIM Gentlheim has shops to buy and sell goods; an Inn to heal up, level up, and stash gold to retrieve after death; and a deep Well leading to randomly generated procedural levels. There are various structures you can pay to upgrade and, as language returns to the village, townsfolk who may need something... Gentlheim hides a few surprises for the inquisitive gamer and provides a hub area to approach different stages in any order you like, or revisit levels you’ve already beaten. The Well is where the “roguish” aesthetics are turned up to 11, providing short, sharp, loot-gathering deep delves once you repair it. There’s an old rumor that something very special is buried at the bottom of the well… but no one has ever reached those depths. CO-OP Ampersat’s async co-op is true drop-in, drop-out at any time. The second player controls a fairy that hovers around Ampersat and also launches attacks. Will you trust them with your best spell? No? They might steal it anyway... While the fairy’s shots aren't as powerful and contribute to overheating, it has the huge advantage of being invulnerable. The perfect partner... if you can get along.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for PC is an action adventure game based on the highly popular long-running move franchise of the same name. This game fits into the timeline just after the third episode of the film series (Revenge of the Sith) and features a familiar cast of heroes, villains, androids and Jedi, all vying for success in their missions. ABOUT THE GAME A young Jedi apprentice (Padawan) has been forces to go on the run from the Galactic Empire, following Order 66, a galaxy wide purge of the Jedi Order. An accident occurs and Cal, the young Jedi’s real self is uncovered when he uses the force to save the life of his friend. Following the adage that no good deed goes unpunished, word quickly spreads to the Empire’s minions who set out in hot pursuit, determined to catch the last few Jedi. Cal’s mission is to find a place of safety, while avoiding capture by the Empire. On the way, he will meet many faces instantly recognisable to fans of the film franchise, including Saw Gerrera (ably voiced by Forrest Whittaker) and Cere (voiced by the wonderful Debra Wilson) and be given information and advice that will help him to achieve his goals. LINEAR OR NOT? The game is not an open world game in which you are free to explore however and wherever you like. Instead, you have a game map and a mission to complete, but you do not just have one progress front at any one time. Instead, you can hop into your spaceship and travel to any of the unlocked areas in the map – these will obviously widen the more you play – and continue with your mission in that area until you, perhaps, find yourself struggling. Then it is a simple matter to jump back into your ship, and pop off to another planet or a different area to power up and build the skills you are currently lacking while you solve easier (or perhaps just differently arranged) missions before heading back to try again when it suits you. So, a sort of open-linear-hybrid world that offers some freedom and some direction to the players. ADVICE FOR NEW PLAYERS Keep an eye on progress of skill trees – some areas of the game need you to have a certain skill before you can move on Look for secondary and secret ways to progress around obstacles before committing to going through them. Sometimes you can sneak into caves or find hidden pathways that will lead you safely past a group of storm-troopers or other enemies Some areas have ‘soft spots’ where Cal can tap into the force and receive Jedi wisdom. These spot are called Force Echoes, and they are always worth finding Combat is less a matter of repeated urgent button presses and more a case for finesse, timing and precision. Make sure you master all your weaponry properly, charging out yelling and trying to bludgeon your way through the enemy is a certain way to sudden death Cal is accompanied by his trusty companion, a droid called BD-1 (Buddy #1, perhaps?) who follows Cal, warns him of danger and provides healing packs whenever they are needed. He chunters around, providing running commentary, uncovering secret entries and generally providing Cal with someone to talk to

WeGo allows each player to plan out 60 seconds of combat and then watch as both sides' commands are carried out simultaneously. The WeGo system also allows for re-watching turn action and playing against another player by email (PBEM) or "hotseat" on a single computer. RealTime and WeGo head to head play can also use TCP/IP on a LAN or over the Internet. Massive replayability comes from a unique Quick Battle system which allows players to purchase their own custom force and fight over the battlefield of their choice from a wide array of different maps. HOW UNITS ARE PORTRAYED All units are portrayed one for one in 1:1 scale in high resolution polygon 3D models with articulated suspensions, animated hatches, and other features that make them feel real. Unlike other 3D tactical wargames, Combat Mission combines real world physics with a thoroughly researched portrayal of forces, right down to what the individual soldiers cary into battle. Advanced vehicle damage modeling allows for tracking of each sub-system, including the most realistic ballistics, armor and post-armor effects available in any game. Unlike other games that claim this level of realism, Combat Mission actually delivers it across the whole spectrum of warfare, including the interaction of weather, lighting, and terrain on how units and their weapons function. Perhaps the most important feature of Combat Mission is its detailed and innovative portrayal of "soft factors". Experience, Morale, Leadership, and other elements operate at the individual soldier level and collectively transform how units behave. As important as these battlefield concerns are, most other games give them short shrift or don't bother covering them at all. In the real world having the best weapons means nothing if the soldiers crewing them are balled up in fear or are too distracted to see what's going on around them. HOW THINGS WORK BEHIND THE SCENES Weapon penetration values and armor protection are based on extremely detailed real life data and scientific algorithms that are specific to exactly what is seen in the game. There are no arbitrary values (hitpoints) or precalculated resolution tables (CRTs) that so often produce frustratingly inaccurate results. The advanced Tactical AI (TacAI) models the psychological state and inherent qualities of every soldier on the battlefield, allowing for genuine battlefield behavior from every soldier as if they were their own free thinking individual. The simulation of independent soldiers is important in another regard because it allows Combat Mission to have what we call Relative Spotting. This is a system which ensures that each soldier has their own unique view of the battlefield, avoiding the "Borg" issue seen in many games where once one person has spotted an enemy, automatically everyone else has spotted it and can fire on it as well. Any wargamer worth his weight in gunpowder knows that Fog of War is one of the most important battlefield elements. An unprecedented simulation of Command and Control (C2) combines with Relative Spotting to realistically portray the flow of information and responsibility between soldiers as they share information with each other on what they can see on the battlefield All of these elements, and many more, seamlessly fit together to create the most realistic battlefield experience out there. The realism level isn't pushed in your face with lots of data and obscure references. Instead players experience all of this with the 3D graphical environment.
