Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Happy Home Paradise - Nintendo eShop EUROPE Digital Key

Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Happy Home Paradise - Nintendo eShop EUROPE Digital Key

Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise for Nintendo, the ninth release (five main games and four spin-offs) of the Animal Crossing oeuvre is less a game and much more a place where you can indulge your creativity. Unlike in the main game of New Horizons – of which this is a spin-off – there is less emphasis on paying for stuff with bells and more on getting creative with far fewer restrictions than on your own island. ABOUT THE GAME On this game, you work for Paradise Planning as a holiday home designer. The upside of this, apart from the salary, is that you get access to all the furniture and décor pieces you will need without having to painfully grind to earn them. Your mission is to create the perfect holiday home for your clients. Your client will tell you the things they must have in their home: a library, a swimming pool etc – the rest is entirely up to you. Your work on the various homes takes place on one of a number of islands, each with their own special features for you to consider during your renovations. In your spare time, you can repurpose abandoned buildings into working facilities across the island. The empty buildings almost always have a pre-set purpose (school, café, fire station, etc.) and you must ensure they will function well and fit the available space and fulfil the item requirements – but aside from that, you can choose décor schemes, colour themes and more! Once built, these buildings populate and operate automatically, making your clients happy. You meet and interact with new characters, who you take on as clients, building their perfect holiday home. But don’t rush off: stick around at the end of the job for a photoshoot. During the photoshoot, you can position your client as you desire, which seems small and negligible, but is curiously satisfying. You aren’t forced into leaving once the job is complete, you can hang around and play a bit more, especially if you are still working on the facilities. If you crave complete creative control in your builds, do keep on playing as you will eventually unlock the ability to design a house completely from your own likes and dislikes, no client instructions at all. You can even build a house for villagers to share as ‘roommates’ – and then you can pretend they’re dating if you like! THE NITTY GRITTY As mentioned earlier, bells aren’t as important as they are in other games in the series. Not only are things more readily available, but you are paid quite generously in Poki – a currency unique to this archipelago – and this allows you to start buying pretty freely right from the beginning. The more work you do, the more salary increases you get along with your new expertise, so money really isn’t ever a problem for you. This allows you to just roll up your sleeves and get on with making cute and cool things – although you do have to work your way up to unlock the full inventory: life can’t be too easy for you now! Pro-tip: Speak to, Wardell, the manatee in charge of the giftshop and befriend him! He will do you logistical favours when you become a favoured customer, even delivering items to the client’s house as you need them. There is a bureau de change, so you can swap Poki for bells. As well as this there are some cool features you can add to your client’s houses. Not only can you change a room in size (anywhere between four by four and ten by ten is allowed); but you can also add soundscapes to various rooms (these are constant ambient noises such as the sound of the sea) or add pillars and a second floor to the house. You can also, as you progress, invite specific amiibo using the game’s cards, or encourage your own villagers to come and see your work. You might need to bribe them with souvenir chocolates as they can be reluctant to travel! TIPS FOR BEGINNERS The following aims will give you something to do while you work to open up the inventory and reach a level that allows you more freedom and independence. Complete at least seven buildings Facilities will take longer than houses so do be patient with them Make personal choices: you will spend a while working on a client’s house, make sure you have fun while you take their choices into account

Hogwarts Legacy - (PC) Steam ROW Digital Key

Hogwarts Legacy - (PC) Steam ROW Digital Key

Hogwarts Legacy for PC is a single player action adventure role-playing game based on the Harry Potter universe, in which the player takes on the persona of a newcomer to the enchanted castle so beloved of fans of the books and movie franchise. About the Game This game is set in the late 1800s, so there is no overlap with any characters from the movie and book canon, although some of the ghosts you know and love may pop up to guide you on your way – or hinder and delay you, if you annoy them! Unique – and central – to this game are NCPs (non-playing characters) Victor Rookwood (who is the sort of pre-Voldemort leader of the Dark Wizards – precursors to the Death Eaters), Professor Eleazar Fig who is your form teacher and ally, and the deliciously evil rebellious goblin leader, Ranrok, who trusts no human and especially no wizard! You are a student about to start your fifth year who transfers to Hogwarts from somewhere else following a mysterious accident. Slowly it emerges that you are the possessor of the key to an ancient secret that could tear the wizarding world apart. Ranrok hates all wizardkind, but has allied himself with Rookwood in order to get hold of an ancient magic. An ancient magic which is so dangerous that wizardkind has tried to hide it from itself – and that you, unexpectedly, turn out to be the one wizard that is the key to the unleashing of this ancient magic! Needless to say, Rookwood is in danger if Ranrok succeeds, but Rookwood is dangerous enough on his own behalf. You, as the student, must work with Fig to keep the magic’s secret and avert the goblin rebellion… The Nitty Gritty You will attend classes, in between saving wizarding civilisation, in Charms, Herbology, Defence Against the Dark Arts, and Potions, and in between classes you can explore much further afield than simply the castle. The Hidden Forest, Hogsmeade and Gringotts Bank are all accessible and fully explorable The open world setting will change with the seasons, and you can choose your house, and customise your playing character in many ways including voice, body type, gender and wand selection. All of this adds up to mean that each player can enjoy a tailor-made and very different gaming experience. As noted above, the game is open world and positively begs exploration as you interact with NCPs like Nearly Headless Nick, Peeves the poltergeist – who is known and loved by readers of the books, but never quite made it into the movies, although the part was filmed for the first movie, starring the late great Rik Myall – and the Fat Lady, who guards the Gryffindor dormitories. The Room of Requirement features in the game too, serving a much wider purpose than previously seen. Players will be able to customise it to their needs and preferences and it operates as a kind of common room, growing plants, doing research and tweaking your customisation as you need to. The game’s in-built morality system will allow wannabe villains to tackle the killing curse if they dare, or you can make friends with everyone you meet – including classmates who will grow and develop alongside you, offering handy aid at tricky moments. There are no microtransactions in the game: everything you get will be earned the hard way, there are no shortcuts for the rich to take and get ahead. Fantastic Beasts and How to Care for Them Care of Magical Creatures is a must as you will interact, take care of and even battle using: Dragons: never mind the ban on breeding dragons, in Hogwarts you can raise your very own pet incinerator on which you can ride, cuddle and battle. Just don’t forget to feed themNifflers: the cute and cuddly mole-platypus-magpies return again, snaffling up anything shiny and simultaneously annoying and charming youTrolls: more animal than humanoid in this game, trolls are firmly in the creature camp rather than the wizard camp hereHippogriffs: Buckbeak (aka Witherwings) and co return to terrify and delight you as well as coming in jolly useful in the battling stakes with both sharp claws and a fearsome beak to put to good use against your enemiesMandrakes: technically plants, but considering their roots are screeching and intensely grumpy babies, they fall under the ‘magical creatures’ umbrella. Use ear defenders when potting them, and unleash them on your enemies when you are in a pinch
