That’s right, voter research has repeatedly suggested that the environment is the No. 1 issue on everyone’s mind, here in Two Point County, and Ms Windsock is more than willing to fall on the sword of extensive positive press by founding the Department of Green Things. You’ll face new illnesses, some of them bizarre, even by your standards, and manage new gameplay mechanics on your route to eco-friendly success. We believe in you, and Tabitha does too (sort of). WANDEROFF COUNTY PARK In Wanderoff County Park, Holistix have been farming rare, natural ingredients for years. Once they heard that the Mayor was planning to trial her green initiative in the area, they decided to open a nature commune, and take advantage of the foot traffic. It's our job to care for the people attached to those feet. Our funding from Holistix will depend on how well we're scoring on their new scale... Yes, the (less than) fine people at Holistix have developed something called a "Wellness Index", which uses a number of different criteria to measure the overall wellbeing of a community. They believe that they've found a correlation between high scores on the Wellness Index and a willingness to purchase their organic tat. We won't receive much for diagnosing and treating patients, so if we want to make money we'll need to score well on the Wellness Index by focusing on its six criteria: staff and patient happiness; attractiveness; hygiene; reputation; and cure rate. OLD NEWPOINT Welcome to Old Newpoint, the original settlement in the current era of Two Point County. Though there is no way to know exactly what happened, a cataclysmic event brought an end to the prior civilisation in Two Point County. It was in Old Newpoint, then just Newpoint, that our foreparents founded life as we know it and began to build sheds, make wicker things, and establish our problems and traditions. Many of those traditions are practiced in the area to this day, for some reason… Yes, strange traditions such as herbal medicine and horticulture. The residents practice a root-to-stem approach, you won’t find them munching on Cheesy Gubbins, so you’ll need to keep everyone fed and watered by growing your own fruit and vegetables, and collecting rainwater. But the botany doesn’t end there - no! - medicinal Herb Gardens need to be used to treat the region’s most herbaceous afflictions. Get gardening. WINDSOCK CITY Welcome to Windsock, the County’s first eco-city and its most expensive thing to be named after, and founded by, the same person. The city has taken over the news, provoking questions like: “How does this work?”, “Why haven’t we done it before?” and “Who paid for this?”. Say what you like about Tabitha, she really wants to get re-elected. Windsock City doesn’t rely on the usual means of power. Instead, you’ll need to build green energy machines to stay switched-on and self-sufficient. Each of your green energy machines, whether it’s a wind turbine, solar panel or hydro-dam, will increase the power capacity of the hospital. The power that you generate can be used to open rooms in your hospital, or allocated to the Patient Flow and Staff Applicants systems, to influence transport in and out of the city. Heading off the beaten path brings with it a range of new illnesses! Each enhances Tor Yvresse’s defence rating and grants the following: * The Silent Sentinels chain can increase Tor Yvresse’s defence rating and enable the recruitment and upgrading of elite Mistwalker units, plus increasing recruitment capacities for several unique elite unit types available to Eltharion. * The Watchers of Yvresse chain enable the interrogation of captured Heroes and Lords, improvements to the Mist of Yvresse, and bonuses to Eltharion’s Influence. * Through the questioning, vanquishing and indoctrination of captives, Eltharion can gain useful information and other benefits. Mist of Yvresse Tor Yvresse will become progressively shrouded by an enchanted mist, enhancing all of Eltharion's troops and disrupting enemies caught within it. * Provides the unique Army Ability ‘Envelop in Mist’ which enhances your troops’ performance when fighting within its influence * Athel Tamarha upgrades grant additional effects as the Mist become stronger. * Increasing the strength of the Mist of Yvresse will eventually cause it to cover all of Ulthuan as a protective aid. Defence of Yvresse Eltharion will gradually build up defensive power at Tor Yvresse, as Eltharion's homeland becomes increasingly fortified against invasion. * At the campaign outset, the city of Tor Yvresse will begin in a damaged state until upgrades are completed, progressing the city into rebuilt then fortified states. ABOUT THE GAME Returning from the original game, Ghostrunners are technologically enhanced humans who work as a peacekeeping police force in the new post-apocalyptic but coolly cyberpunk world. You’re playing Ghostrunner character is Jack, returning from the first game, and in your guise as Jack, you will use speed and offence to solve puzzle-like combat situations, and it is not an easy or leisurely playthrough: you have to consider all your options as fast as possible, making sure that no enemies are sneaking up on you, so you will skate on the edge of a catastrophe-curve of near-panic and action from start to finish. The platforming style of the game makes it feel like parkour with weapons, basically – and you will be sliding, swinging, wall-running, air-dashing, rail-grinding, and grappling in a non-stop dash towards your goal. Enemies go down with just one or two blows, which is satisfying in an Insta-kill kind of way – but be warned, you are just as susceptible to your enemies. As well as the above parkour feats, you will slide down metal tubes for a brief roller-coaster thrill, and learn to throw shuriken stars at flammable barrels for a satisfying boom, even as you parry bullets and cyber-samurai your way through the game. THE NITTY GRITTY Within the game, you have a certain amount of leeway this time, a step away from the strict linear progression of the first Ghostrunner. You can choose which of three or so targets you want to tackle first, and there are a couple of different ways to accomplish this so you always feel like you have plenty of options, even as the game gently steers you along the storyline. You will die often as you learn and play, but respawning is fluid and seamless – you almost don’t mind dying, mainly because you barely notice it, popping up close to your death spot, and now with the knowledge of what not to do this time. There are new and challenging modes to master to become the cyber ninja of your dreams. The game offers bigger and better (badder?) bosses that actively react to your moves, adjusting their strategy according to yours - which makes for an intense and unique battle experience no matter how many times you play through. The leaderboards will show not only you and your friends, but everyone on the same platform so you get a good idea of where you stand against the wider community. ALL ABOUT THE BEATS As you grapple and hop your way around the steel towers, be ready for an onslaught of pistol-wielding baddies to take out.
